Job Responsibilities:
- Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes
- Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud
- Support creation of technical guidelines, standards and templates for digitalization projects to be scaled across the MML group
- Support the creation of an OT architecture for MML divisions
- Interface with corporate support divisions to Implement digitalization projects
- Receive and provide training to divisional teams related to digitalization
- Develop KPIs, metrics and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments
- Provide detailed specifications to proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources required
- Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production
Professional Experience and Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems or equivalent proof of baseline knowledge
- 3+ years experience in software development
- Experience with programming language (ex. Python, C#, JavaScript, C++)
- Experience with databases and different types of data storage
Skills and Competencies:
- Good understanding of IoT, security, communication protocols (MQTT), UNS (Unified Name Space)
- Familiar with PLC programming in Siemens and Rockwell controllers, among others
- Familiar with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Familiar with cloud architecture
- Knowledge of industrial IoT sensor connectivity, data acquisition and data historian software
- Knowledge of different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
- Familiar with Robot programming and SCADA software is a plus
- Able to exercise independent judgement and take action on it
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to persuade / influence stakeholders to drive optimization and standards
