Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:

• Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure
• Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes
• Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud
• Support creation of technical guidelines, standards and templates for digitalization projects to be scaled across the MML group
• Support the creation of an OT architecture for MML divisions
• Interface with corporate support divisions to Implement digitalization projects
• Receive and provide training to divisional teams related to digitalization
• Develop KPIs, metrics and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments
• Provide detailed specifications to proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources required
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production

Professional Experience and Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems or equivalent proof of baseline knowledge
• 3+ years experience in software development
• Experience with programming language (ex. Python, C#, JavaScript, C++)
• Experience with databases and different types of data storage

Skills and Competencies:

• Good understanding of IoT, security, communication protocols (MQTT), UNS (Unified Name Space)
• Familiar with PLC programming in Siemens and Rockwell controllers, among others

• Familiar with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
• Familiar with cloud architecture

• Knowledge of industrial IoT sensor connectivity, data acquisition and data historian software
• Knowledge of different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
• Familiar with Robot programming and SCADA software is a plus
• Able to exercise independent judgement and take action on it
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Able to persuade / influence stakeholders to drive optimization and standards
