The Mobile Apps team you will be joining is a core part of our digital product and technology team at Kogan.com. Our team is fast-paced, independent, ambitious and have end to end ownership of the Kogan.com site and Kogan's Mobile Applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Mid-Level iOS developer looking to take the next step into a leadership position. As the iOS Tech Lead, you'll be leading the development of our mobile app alongside the Senior Android Engineer, while remaining hands-on with iOS development. You’ll play a key role in driving the mobile experience for an app highly used by Australian and New Zealand customers, focused on delivering an exceptional shopping experience. This fast-moving role will allow you to step into leadership while shaping the future of a mobile app that’s at the heart of our business.

What you'll do:

• Hands-on coding on the product, delivering new features and functionality, and providing support for bugs.
• Championing software engineering principles to deliver a better experience for our users and an engaging technology-led engineering environment.
• Design architectures and build components that deliver fast, smooth experiences to users across the world.
• Work cross-functionally and cross-team to execute on technical and business strategy, building experiences that our users will love.
• Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks.

What you'll need:

• Proficiency in iOS app development (Swift) with a strong understanding of mobile application architectures and software design patterns.
• A hands-on approach to iOS development, actively contributing to the codebase and experience collaborating cross-platform.
• Desire to be involved in the whole Software Development Lifecycle, from idea generation to monitoring the performance of your changes in production.
• Passion for building high-quality software, while being pragmatic and highly accountable for your work.
• Love working on the user experience of the application - building engaging experiences that solve complex workflows. Feedback from the Apple Store should be a key motivator!
• Experience working in an Agile, Lean, Scrum, or Kanban team.
• A results-driven individual who enjoys shipping software regularly and delivering value to customers.
• Experience working on a mobile app with a large, active user base.
