About the role.
As the Inventory Health Manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), you will play a pivotal part in the Supply Chain Excellence team. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain robust inventory health across all Australia and New Zealand business units. This includes minimising distressed orders and inventory write-offs, collaborating proactively with commercial teams to identify and communicate shortfalls, and advising on opportunities for sale of Minimum Length of Receival (MLORs) or Slow and Obsolete Stock (SLOBs) as distressed inventory before disposal becomes necessary. Your work ensures optimum inventory outcomes, alignment with policy, and effective cross-functional communication and reporting.
This role can be based in Ballarat, Melbourne, Smithton, Timaru, or Hastings, with a preference for Ballarat or Melbourne.

What you'll be doing.
- Actively monitor and manage inventory health for all Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business units, targeting reductions in distressed orders and write-offs.
- Partner with commercial teams to identify inventory shortfalls, and initiate strategies to recover value from MLORs and SLOBs - selling as distressed inventory before it must be written off.
- Take ownership of key analysis and reporting for SLOBs and rework processes, ensuring timely actions and meaningful accountability.
- Deliver clear, actionable reports for senior commercial, operational, and finance meetings, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) forums.
- Maintain and improve inventory policy and reporting frameworks, communicating effectively and consistently with key business stakeholders.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with teams across commercial, finance, supply chain, and production, supporting best practices and shared goals.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Minimum three years' experience in inventory management, supply chain, or similar analytical functions, where you demonstrated your ability to solve complex challenges.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in the Office Suite , using these tools to create insightful analysis and clear reports that drive decision-making.
- Strong analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to distil data into actionable insights that inform business strategies.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills, allowing you to deliver results reliably under time pressure and competing priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, known for your "can-do" attitude, initiative, and positive impact on collaborative projects.
- Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities, enabling you to communicate with influence across diverse teams and build meaningful professional relationships.
- Experience in compiling, interpreting, and presenting commercial reports for a variety of audiences.
- Experience within the FMCG industry, with SAP, Power BI, or similar inventory tools is desirable but not essential.
