PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Internal Sales Manager in Melbourne, Australia on a permanent basis, reporting to the ISM Team Lead. Founded in 1904, Portwest has become one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,100 staff worldwide. With 1400 styles across more than 20 ranges, we design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities. We’re on a mission to become the world’s most requested PPE and Safety Wear Brand.
JOB SUMMARY: 

As the Internal Sales Manager for Portwest, you will bring your commercial experience to sell Portwest products to distributors across Australia. You will develop existing distribution channels in this fast-paced internal sales position. You should be able to work independently but also collaborate with the sales team to continue to build upon the company’s success. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relations.
  • Develop existing customer relationships.
  • Research new markets for development opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor research.
  • Providing price and quotes.
  • Provide relevant and accurate information to customers.
  • Help maintain customer loyalty to Portwest

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years sales experience (PPE related an advantage but not necessary).
  • Strong communication skills and be able to work well to deadlines.
  • Good decision-making skills and be customer focused.
  • PC literate, strong reporting skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be a good problem solver
