The role & its impact:
In this role you will be a key contributor in providing the rapid analysis and high-quality reporting that our global sales organisation relies on to make informed decisions. Your work ensures that insights are accurate, timely, and delivered with a focus on detail that helps drive sales productivity across the business.
By translating complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations, you help make running a small business beautiful. You will step beyond data delivery to become a strategic partner, helping regional leads navigate busy cycles and identifying the "why" behind the numbers. Your impact will be felt globally as you help build a stronger economy through data-driven clarity.
This team & how they connect:
You will join a high-performing, collaborative team that provides a holistic view of performance across all our regions. We function as a supportive hub, bridging the gap between technical data teams and business leaders to ensure everyone speaks the same "data language."
Initially, you will focus on:
Fast-paced Analytics Projects: Delivering high-quality data analysis and insights that support strategic decisions, solve complex challenges and answer ad-hoc business questions
Designing & Supporting Global Reporting: Supporting the end-to-end design and maintenance of our multi-product reporting suite, tracking everything from sales pipelines to customer behaviour across all markets.Strategic Partnership & Insights: Collaborate with Regional Analytics Leads during critical cycles to shape the story behind the numbers, delivering rapid-turnaround analysis that gives executive leaders the confidence to make informed decisions.
Next Best Action Engine: Driving the evolution of our "Next Best Action" recommendation engine, using data science models to help sales teams identify the perfect opportunities for their partners.
Segmentation & Cohorting: Developing deep-dive customer segmentation and forecasting cohorts to understand emerging market trends and calculate complex performance rebates.
Operational Excellence & Experimentation: Maintain clear documentation of team processes and data dictionaries to ensure reliability. You’ll also have the space to experiment with the latest analytics tools, piloting new solutions that boost our team’s efficiency and innovation.
Where and how you can work:
At Xero, we offer a hybrid working model that balances the flexibility of working from home with the connection of in-office collaboration. You will have access to our modern office spaces and participate in "boost days" designed for brainstorming and socialising.
Here are some of the things we are looking for:
Hands on Experience: You likely have between 2–5 years of experience in an insights or analytics role. You are comfortable operating independently and bringing a level of professional maturity to a global stage.
SQL Mastery: You bring high-level proficiency in SQL for extracting and manipulating data, with a natural curiosity to explore complex, diverse datasets.
Dashboards & Storytelling: You have direct experience using Tableau (or similar BI tools) with a proven ability to build performant, interactive dashboards that convey complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Commercial Mindset: You understand the mechanics of a SaaS business model and know how to measure success in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Adaptability: You can pivot quickly between projects and maintain progress even when faced with incomplete information or ambiguous objectives.
Here at Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team so we encourage you to apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match!
