About the Role:

The Insider Risk Analyst is a member of the Global Security team and will play a role in the maturation of the Insider Risk Program (IRP). The IRP is seeking a creative, collaborative, and motivated security professional to enhance our security posture and better protect CrowdStrike from sophisticated state-sponsored, eCrime, and lone wolf threats. This position reports to the Manager, Global Security - Risk & Facility Security Officer and will be responsible for a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of sensitive CrowdStrike information. You will also support the company’s Industrial Security Program. You will work closely with partners in Information Security, Human Resources, Legal, Information Technology, and other business units to support and improve the IRP.
CrowdStrike is looking for somebody with a passion for insider risk mitigation as well as for risk management, counterintelligence, and national security who is looking to gain experience in the private sector.
CrowdStrike’s DoD SkillBridge / Career Skills Program (CSP) Internship is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29 as enacted by 10 U.S.C. Sec 1143. Eligibility is restricted to members of the U.S. Armed Forces separating honorably with greater than 180 days of continuous Active Duty. SkillBridge/CSP period of eligibility is within the final 180 days of Active Duty service, and the SkillBridge/CSP must be completed prior to separation from Active Duty in the U.S. Armed Forces.

SkillBridge participants participate in full time training with industry (40-hour work week) under permissive temporary duty military orders and are not eligible for compensation from CrowdStrike during SkillBridge participation, but will continue to receive all military wages and benefits as defined by the Department of Defense.

What You’ll Do:
The primary responsibility of this position is to identify potential threats to CrowdStrike and its operations from internal and external actors while operationalizing strategies to mitigate those threats in order to protect CrowdStrike’s workforce, assets, customers, and reputation.

Analyze and brief identified risks and vulnerabilities to a variety of audiences

Perform reviews of elevated risk candidates to CrowdStrike roles

Perform detailed and comprehensive investigations and summarize findings
-
Conduct risk assessments of at-risk people, information, facilities, and operations
-
Develop and deploy mitigation strategies such as security awareness materials, newsletters, case studies, and other communications

Provide support to the Industrial Security Program

Stay up-to-date on the latest industry and regulatory developments related to insider risk in order to foster their integration into CrowdStrike internal processes

Support general Insider Risk and Global Security operations
What You'll Need:
-
Two or more years of experience in an insider threat/risk mitigation, intelligence, counterintelligence, cyber intelligence, investigations, or special security officer role

Exceptional written and oral communication skills, to include conducting interviews and writing reports
-
Knowledge of and experience with insider threat/risk best practices
-
Strong computer skills and familiarity with cybersecurity concepts
-
Practical experience advising team leaders on security policy and guidelines, including executive-level presentation skills
-
Proficiency in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence tools

Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with the ability to communicate concepts to all audiences

Demonstrated ability to manage projects and establish rapport while building relationships with team members across all levels of the organization

Proven ability to work independently with motivation, efficiency, and flexibility as well as willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
Preferred:

Experience conducting fraud, counterintelligence, and other investigations

Practical experience developing, implementing and administering security education, training and awareness

Working knowledge of global legal and privacy regulations
Education:

Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant military experience (years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
