Job Description

The Inflight Operations Manager will lead the operational delivery of our inflight service across all aircraft types and routes. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cabin Experience, this pivotal role ensures every customer enjoys a consistent, high-quality onboard experience aligned with Jetstar’s brand standards, safety requirements, and commercial objectives.

You will translate strategic service design into practical execution, manage day-to-day service performance, and resolve operational challenges in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Service Design Manager to create consistent inflight service across all routes, ensuring compliance with brand and safety standards.
  • Review customer service metrics and onboard sales to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Monitor operational performance and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Monitor crew feedback into service plans and support practical service flows.
  • Drive readiness for new products, seasonal menus, and service updates.
  • Manage new port start-ups from a Cabin Experience and Catering perspective.
  • Liaise with catering suppliers to ensure accurate provisioning and manage disruptions.
  • Lead and develop a team of three direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Keep crew informed and engaged through clear communication strategies.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review on time performance daily to ensure operational accountability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure accountability.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5 years leadership experience is desirable
  • Experience in an operational environment or aviation is preferred
  • Ability to manage operational complexity and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with third party suppliers in an operational environment
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and plan commercial programs of work
  • Strong consultation skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organisation
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and strategic focus
  • Exceptional influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience in managing complex and tightly time-framed projects with limited resources
  • Prior experience in Cabin Crew Operations will be highly regarded but not essential
  • Willingness to travel as required
