Indirect Channel Management Manager (ICM) – Italy

At Stryker, we are driven to make healthcare better. As part of an evolving European structure, we are strengthening our governance of indirect channels and are looking for an experienced Indirect Channel Management Manager (ICM) to support and further professionalize our indirect channel network in Italy.

This is a senior individual contributor role with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and process excellence, working closely with local and EMEA stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant indirect channel operations.

What you will do

As Indirect Channel Management Manager, you will support the development and execution of the indirect channel strategy in Italy, ensuring alignment with global and EMEA ICM standards. You will play a key role in driving governance, compliance, and operational excellence across the indirect channel lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the selection, development, and oversight of Stryker’s indirect channel portfolio across all divisions and future acquisitions in Italy.

  • Drive effective operational management of indirect channel governance, ensuring consistent implementation of global ICM standards and processes.

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of indirect channel lifecycle management, including partner validation, contracting, monitoring, and performance reviews.

  • Ensure full adherence to local legal, regulatory, financial, and compliance requirements, proactively mitigating risks and ensuring governance consistency.

  • Act as a key point of connection between local internal functions (Legal, Compliance, Finance, Quality) and commercial teams, in partnership with the local ICM Senior Manager.

  • Support negotiations with indirect channel partners related to contracts, governance frameworks, and operational processes.

  • Manage and resolve escalated ICM-related issues in collaboration with country, regional, and EMEA leadership.

  • Support the rollout and localization of global ICM frameworks, ensuring clear process flows are documented, communicated, and embedded within the business.

  • Drive adoption and proper use of ICM platforms, ensuring alignment between local systems and EMEA standards.

  • Support the development and monitoring of robust ICM metrics, workflows, and reporting tools to enable data-driven decision-making.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, traceability, scalability, and operational excellence.

  • Support education and training of internal commercial teams and functions on indirect channel management standards and expectations.

  • Contribute to the continuous training, evaluation, and development of indirect channel partners, ensuring alignment with Stryker’s values and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in local and EMEA projects and forums aimed at optimizing channel structure, governance, and strategic alignment.

  • Support digital, data-driven, and AI-enabled initiatives designed to enhance compliance, control, and transparency across the indirect channel ecosystem.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Law, or a related discipline.

  • 8+ years of professional experience in roles related to indirect channel management, governance, compliance, legal, finance, commercial operations, market access, or similar functions within regulated industries (medical devices, pharma, healthcare, or comparable).

  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management in complex, regulated environments.

  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix organization.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior leaders and external partners.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex processes.

  • High level of autonomy, sound judgment, and ability to operate effectively under pressure.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Italian required.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within Italy (field-based role).

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree, particularly in Business Law, Compliance, Business Administration, or Data Management.

  • Experience with ICM platforms, governance tools, or partner lifecycle management systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or similar analytics tools preferred.

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in digital transformation, data governance, and AI-enabled process optimization.
