About the Role

As the Human Resources Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR strategy across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting into senior leadership and aligning with our global standards, this role will focus on key areas such as payroll, recruitment, compliance, employee engagement, and organisational development. You’ll lead a capable HR team and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, championing a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Australian HR team to foster a high-performance culture
  • Provide strategic guidance across key HR programs, including performance management, compensation, reward, talent planning, employee engagement, and change management
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring full compliance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with business leaders to enhance the employee experience and streamline HR processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Analyse workforce data to inform decisions and align people priorities with business goals
  • Identify current and future capability needs, developing strategies to close gaps and support organisational success
  • Ensure HR systems, policies, and processes are aligned with legal requirements and best practices
  • Support leaders in navigating change, applying proven change management techniques
  • Travel within Australia as needed to provide on-the-ground HR support

What We’re Looking For

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally in a fast-paced, complex organisation
  • Strong experience in managing or overseeing payroll operations in Australia and New Zealand
  • Exceptional ability to coach, advise, and influence senior leaders and teams
  • Proven success in leading HR teams and delivering organisational change initiatives
  • Deep understanding of Australian employment laws, compliance standards, and key industry bodies
  • Proficiency in leveraging HR technology to streamline processes and enhance operations
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and evolving business needs
