The HR Manager is a pivotal role at Pattern, responsible for overseeing human resources operations and delivering an exceptional employee experience, while also handling strategic recruiting initiatives. This full-time, hybrid role will be based in our Melbourne, Australia office.

  • HR Management & Strategy
    • Partner closely with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the business objectives, focusing on employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
    • Conduct and analyze exit interviews, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Manage and maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and other systems.

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies, identifying staffing needs, and ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.
    • Source and engage top-tier candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, career fairs, and networking events.
    • Conduct interviews, negotiate offers, and manage the end-to-end hiring process while providing an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
    • Enhance employer branding by showcasing Pattern’s values and work environment on platforms like Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and other social media.
  • Onboarding & Employee Engagement
    • Lead new hire orientations to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
    • Develop initiatives that bolster employee engagement, support professional growth, and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

What is the team like?
You will report directly to the Chief People Officer, with ongoing mentorship and performance discussions. You will work alongside other HR and Talent Acquisition team members across the globe. This team is data-driven and results-oriented, and you’ll regularly collaborate with the Managing Director in Australia and other local team members to attract and retain top talent. We value ideas and input from every team member.
