Job DescriptionThe Role
As a HR Advisor at SEEK, you'll be part of a fast-paced and supportive environment where you can make a real difference. You'll work on complex challenges that have a direct impact on people's lives, helping us evolve our business and reach new heights.
The HR Advisor role reports into the Head of HR Business Partnering and is responsible for both supporting a team of HR Business Partners across a business function portfolio as well as streamlining processes to enable the HRBP team to work efficiently and effectively to support the business.
Key Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day support to a HRBP Team to help solve people matters:
• Support a group of HRBP’s aligned to a specific division across the APAC business.
• Supporting HRBPs to deliver optimal business outcomes, including re-structures and change management.
• Use existing data and reporting to support with reviewing benchmarking requests in line with the Decision-Making Framework.
• Collating data requests and drawing insights from data to support a division to inform decision making.
• Manage and support leaders at SLT–1 on request when assistance required by HRBP Team.
Cyclical Activities – Supports HRBP on the implementation of key annual HR activities:
• Including but not limited to remuneration reviews, performance calibrations, talent assessments, people changes and key metrics.
Provides policy / process advice to leaders and employees:
• Develops trusted working relationships with people leaders and team members through the provision of best practice generalist advice and solutions on people related matters, policies and processes.
P&C Centre of Expertise liaison:
• Acts as a key contact and liaison with the HR Co-Ordinator’s and HR Operations Team.
• Act as a conduit to other COE’s to support effective and efficient HRBP delivery to business.
Data and Knowledge Management – Owners of APAC-wide Knowledge Management Hub for Business Partnering:
• Responsible for management of file, architecture and content on the site. Ensuring only the most up to date information is available and any updates are maintained on the site.
• Takes the lead in updating material related to process and administration – liaising with HRC/HR Ops.
• Ensures relevant updates are made to material provided by other COE’s.
HRBP Enablement – Plays a lead role to architect and enable APAC ways of working for HRBP Team.
• Designs process and measures to drive consistency helping to improve people related processes at all stages of the employment life cycle.
• Acts as a coordination point for HRBP’s across APAC to gather information, feedback or to confirm legal requirements and/or local best practice.
Project Delivery – May be allocated to projects as the HRBP Team SME representative or as a co-ordination role.
• Collaborating with Leaders, BPs, and HR Ops to address inquiries, provide updates, manage communication, and ensure all documentation and legal requirements are properly handled.
• Liaising with payroll and Finance to ensure payment is completed.
HRBP Back Up – Acts as a backup HRBP where swarm or OOO capacity required.
• Manage and support leaders and employees in ER cases including mental health, personal injury RTW, employee grievance, and performance management.
The Team
The HR Advisor role forms part of a team of HR Business Partners that work across our APAC region, and across all business units within SEEK. This is a generalist team that has a unique insight into critical business needs and also plays a key role in supporting leaders and employees across the full employee life cycle.
QualificationsEssential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Demonstrated experience as a HR Coordinator or HR Advisor, with exposure to all facets of the employment lifecycle. Additional exposure to HR Business Partnering role is advantage.
• Strong and well-developed communication skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels across the business.
• A strong focus and passion for customer service.
• A passion for problem solving and process improvement.
• High level organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically and thoroughly.
• Strong administration skills with the ability to work with data and provide/present relevant insights.
• Team focused attitude whilst also maintaining the ability to work autonomously.
