A role you will love

Reporting to the Managing Director Communication Services, the Head of Sales & Solutions leads the Sales, Solutions, Consulting and Bid Management teams nationally across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane offices.

The role is a member of the CCS Australia Executive team and helps to set the strategic direction for CCS in Australia and globally. 

Creating an environment where our people can thrive and grow, this role is responsible for ensuring CCS AU profitably achieves new business targets, identifies, and develops new solutions to meet emerging market needs (in collaboration with internal stakeholders).

The Head of Sales & Solutions will put in place a strategic roadmap which qualifies new business pursuits as they align to the strategic direction of CCS including up-sell and cross sell opportunities within our portfolio of existing clients.  In addition, accurate and timely management, and dissemination of sales pipeline data across the technology, client engagement and operations teams to allow for appropriate resource planning is required. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

REVENUE

  • Coordinate the efforts of the Sales, Solutions & Consulting teams to ensure new business targets are met and exceeded
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership with customers in collaboration with the Executive team
  • Develop and secure new revenue streams

METHODOLOGY

  • Refine and improve CCS AU approach to Sales, Solutions & Consulting

DELIVERY

  • Work collaboratively with the Executive team and other departments to ensure new customers are onboarded appropriately and issues are raised and managed to optimal conclusions
  • Ensure training is provided and followed by staff and support is provided in line with business and client specific requirements
  • Provide insights and reporting to management as required
  • Participate in Global Initiatives working with the CCS Global Leadership Group as required

BUDGET CONTROL

  • Work closely with Sales, Project Management, CTG, Client Engagement and all other CCS departments the to ensure all customers are appropriately resourced to cost effectively meet their service needs

LEADERSHIP

  • Set priorities to meet work objectives and agreed outcomes and manage team members to these objectives. Monitor and regularly assess progress against objectives
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate resources; oversee and manage deliverables of these resources
  • Actively facilitate team discussions, meetings, and other team forums between departments
  • Continuously seek to improve team communication and culture, impart knowledge and ideas that result in optimum decisions for our business
  • Consistently set goals and objectives for direct reports and follow through for them to do the same

What will you bring to the role? 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ sales and leadership experience, formulating strategic direction with demonstrated success delivering revenue targets
  • Expert knowledge of the Essential Communications market in Australia, with strong relationships with enterprise‑level customers 
  • Strategic and forward‑thinking leader with in-depth understanding of sales and Technical Pre-sales (Solutions) best practice in a large, complex organization, formulates strategies to cope with changing communications environment 

  • Demonstrated leadership strength, with the ability to inspire high‑performing teams, manage conflict, negotiate effectively, and drive impactful change with urgency and purpose

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal capability, adapt at navigating sensitive issues, managing expectations, handling confidential information, and engaging with challenging stakeholders in dynamic or evolving business environments

  • Highly analytical problem‑solver, demonstrating sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to apply best‑practice insights to deliver creative, innovative solutions within highly regulated industries 

  • High adaptability to global working hours, meeting tight deadlines and sustainability reporting standards, while managing interdependencies across regions and functions
