About the role
We are looking for a Head of Sales Excellence to lead the strategic vision for optimising sales processes, enhancing customer engagement, and empowering our commercial organisation to achieve measurable growth. As the Head of Sales Excellence, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing frameworks, tools, and capabilities to enhance sales effectiveness. Please note this role will be based in Melbourne.
Your role will be varied and will include:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to optimise sales processes, align with customer needs, and track performance metrics to drive growth.
- Identify skill gaps, implement training programs, and drive adoption of omnichannel tools to empower sales teams and foster a high-performance culture.
- Leverage data, dashboards, and predictive insights to improve sales effectiveness, optimise targeting, and support strategic decision-making.
- Streamline sales processes, implement CRM tools and automation, and ensure process alignment across regions to enhance efficiency and agility.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on strategies, provide insights to senior leadership, and build strong relationships with regional and local teams.
- Champion customer-centric strategies, equip teams with tailored solutions, and continuously refine engagement approaches based on feedback.
- Ensure all sales activities adhere to GSK’s ethical standards, policies, and local regulations, while mitigating compliance risks.
About you
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader with a proven track record of driving sales excellence within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. You will bring a combination of strong leadership, analytical expertise, and customer-centric strategies to empower teams and deliver measurable growth.
You’ll also bring:
- Minimum: Tertiary education in Business, Science, Education, or a related field.
- Higher qualification in a business-related degree, with specialization in Sales Leadership, Training, Organizational Development, or strategic goal setting will be highly advantageous.
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable growth.
- Expertise in streamlining sales processes, implementing CRM systems, and leveraging omnichannel engagement tools.
- Proficiency in analytics, dashboards, and predictive tools to optimize targeting and inform strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and influencing skills to inspire teams and manage diverse regional dynamics.
- Project management, leading change, adult learning methodologies, facilitation, and presentation skills.
