We have experienced significant growth as a Leading ANZ Data Management Infrastructure and Services Company. As part of our continued investment in ANZ’s strategic growth, we are establishing a dedicated Pursuit function to accelerate market expansion across Banking & Financial Services, Managed Service Provider, and Health Sector. This team will play a pivotal role in capturing new opportunities, securing high-value partnerships, and strengthening Hitachi Vantara’s position as the leading provider of data-driven solutions in the region.
Your Mission:
As the Head of Pursuit Sales, you will lead this newly established Pursuit Team, overseeing a group of three Business Development Managers focused on Banking & Financial Services, Managed Service Providers, and Health Sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing a market expansion strategy, engaging senior executives, and delivering innovative Data Management Platforms and Services - including data analytics, AI, cloud solutions, and outsourcing (BPO/ITO).
This is a leadership role on the ANZ Senior Leadership Team, where you will shape the team’s vision, drive growth, develop culture and position the Pursuit function as a key pillar of Hitachi Vantara’s long-term success in the region.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and Lead the Pursuit Function: Establish and manage a high-performing team of three Business Development Managers, setting a strategic direction to drive new business.
- Drive Market Expansion: Define and execute growth strategies to acquire new clients and expand service offerings in Banking & Financial Services, Managed Service Provider, and Health Sector
- Achieve Growth Targets: Meet or exceed annual revenue, ACV (annual contract value), and TCV (total contract value) targets by developing and closing high-value deals.
- Develop Strategic Client Relationships: Engage with CXOs and senior executives, positioning Hitachi Vantara as a trusted partner in data-driven transformation.
- Lead Business Development Initiatives: Identify and create new business opportunities through industry events, networking, and direct outreach to maintain a strong pipeline.
- Innovative Deal Structuring: Design customized cloud, on-premises, and hybrid data solutions that meet client needs.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to develop compelling solutions and lead responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Shape the Data Management Strategy: Drive client-centric solutions that leverage data analytics, AI, and cloud-based platforms to enhance business outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Sales Leadership in High-Growth Environments: Proven experience building and leading new teams, with a strong ability to scale operations and drive market expansion.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge and established relationships in Banking & Financial Services, Managed Service Providers, and Health Sector.
- Proven Sales & Business Development Success: Strong track record in selling Data Management Platforms, Cloud, AI, Data Analytics, and ITO/BPO solutions.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinker: Ability to develop and execute client-level sales strategies while leading industry pursuits.
- Executive Presence & Influence: Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers, negotiating high-value contracts, and driving business growth.
- Agility & Adaptability: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to build relationships and drive sales.
