Company Description

Deep Blue Company (DBC) - an innovative Australian scale-up reimagining the experience in the 'sale to settlement' for residential property buyers, sellers and real estate agents across Australia. Our group of brands includes Conveyancing.com.au, First Class Legal and bytherules - three leading Property Law firms.

We're looking for an exceptional Head of Product to define and lead the product vision across a portfolio of market-leading brands. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you'll shape the future of our digital products by bringing together customer insight, commercial strategy, and cutting-edge technology. You'll work alongside senior executives to deliver innovative, AI-powered solutions, create seamless customer and partner experiences, and build a scalable product ecosystem that supports ambitious business growth.

If you thrive on solving complex problems, inspiring high-performing teams, and turning bold ideas into products customers love, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact in a business undergoing exciting digital transformation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Establish, manage, and scale the unified digital media group to eliminate siloed operations.
  • Maintain strong lines of communication with the CCO to ensure marketing strategies match commercial partnerships and support cost-to-acquire (CAC) targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the COO and brand leads to map front-end digital experiences directly to service delivery capability.
  • Work in lockstep with the CTO and Engineering teams to deliver unified technical solutions and high-performance front-end interfaces.
  • Manage digital resourcing democratically to ensure all brands have equal access to design and SEO expertise.
  • Drive user discovery, mapping, and core product management for next-generation Client and Partner Portals.
  • Guide the deployment of automated, AI-assisted contract drafting and review products.
  • Lead the continuous optimisation of corporate web properties to reflect unique front-end branding signatures across a consistent system architecture.

Your required experience and skills:

Our Head of Product will contribute to a variety of projects so we are seeking a candidate that can
demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading Product Management or Digital Product functions, delivering customer-focused digital products from strategy through to launch and continuous improvement.
  • A strong track record of building and executing product roadmaps that balance customer needs, commercial outcomes, and technical feasibility.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, UX/UI, Marketing, and Commercial teams to deliver scalable digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of customer experience (CX), UX/UI, SEO, digital platforms, and product analytics.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled products, workflow automation, APIs, and system integrations is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading teams through organisational change, fostering collaboration across multiple brands or business units.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to align technical, operational, and commercial priorities.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What's the offer?
This full-time position will be based in Melbourne, pays a competitive salary based on your relevant skills and experience, offers flexible working options and will see you making a truly significant impact across our teams. You'll set the tone for how we approach our future technical capability and have the support from a genuinely collaborative leadership team.

Next Steps
If this Head of Product role sounds like an opportunity you'd excel in, please apply now and take the next step in your technical career within a progressive and innovative scale-up that values your development, wellbeing and success.

As an equal opportunity employer, Deep Blue Company embraces diversity in our teams through fair community representation of gender, age, culture, thought and work arrangement.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
