The Head of People role is a highly visible leadership role that combines strategic influence with meaningful, hands-on delivery. You will partner closely with executives and their leadership teams across multiple business units, acting as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters while remaining actively involved in the initiatives that bring strategy to life.
This role is central to shaping and executing our enterprise people priorities - from organisational design to leadership capability, performance, engagement and change. You will balance big-picture thinking with pragmatic action, ensuring our leaders receive thoughtful, commercially grounded, data driven advice alongside responsive, high-quality support.
A key focus of the role is strengthening functional excellence across People & Culture, driving continuous improvement in processes, and enhancing the experience of employees. You will play a critical role in aligning people strategy with business objectives, enabling high performance and building organisational capability to support sustainable growth.
As a member of the People Leadership Team, reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead one Senior P&C Advisor directly and provide broader leadership across the function. Through enterprise initiatives and cross-functional projects, you will influence, coach and uplift capability across the wider P&C team, contributing to a cohesive and high-performing people function.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnering:
- Partner with the respective Executives and their leadership teams to develop and implement people strategies to build capability and drive growth. This includes all people practices and activities, aligning to the broader People Priorities.
- Provide guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, talent and succession planning and change management initiatives.
- Support the functional area with key People cyclical activities, i.e. Talent & Succession,
- Annual Reward Review, Pay for Performance and Employee Engagement and Pulse.
- Work with the business to create the desired state culture, measured through increase engagement. Champion initiatives to enhance employee retention and overall satisfaction.
- Lead, coach and guide the business unit on optimal Operating Model, Org Design and Ways of Working to gain best in class productivity, employee engagement and customer outcomes.
People Leadership:
- Actively contribute as a member of the People Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with members of People Leadership team to develop and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Successfully lead the People Partnering function, ensuring a commercial and pragmatic lens is applied across all People initiatives.
- Lead, coach and guide the People Advisor(s) within the team to help build accountability.
- Work collaboratively with the wider People Team (Org Capability, Talent, Communications, Reward & Performance, and Operations) to align and deliver on our strategic priorities.
People Analytics:
- Analyse people trends and metrics, provide insights and recommendations for action and support future workforce planning strategies and requirements.
People Projects:
- Develop, contribute to, lead and/or implement P&C projects as required.
Employee Relations:
- Coach and support the business area in resolving complex ER issues, employee grievances, mental health issues etc.
Talent Management & Development:
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to design and implement talent management strategies across designated business groups.
- Work closely with Business Unit Leadership teams to provide guidance on talent and succession planning and related initiatives including development and investment needs.
Culture:
- Drive a high performance culture and ensure performance issues are addressed proactively and effectively.
- Support and drive Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategies and initiatives, including health and wellbeing practices.
Change Management:
- Lead change management initiatives to support organisational growth, transformation and cultural evolution.
HR Operations and Compliance:
- Ensure Latitidue is compliant against all legislative changes related to the People Partner areas of accountability.
What you’ll bring:
- Extensive partnering experience advising on strategy, org design, talent and broader strategic areas.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and link strategic goals with operational decisions.
- An AI‑native mindset — regularly leveraging AI tools to enhance decision‑making, accelerate delivery and improve team efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective on-going relationships through all levels of the organisation including executives, business partners, line managers and peers.
- The ability to develop and drive people initiatives for the respective business area and apply pragmatically.
- The ability to perform the breath of a Head of People role, spanning from high level strategy to day to day operational issues.
- Track record of strong People analytics and metrics reporting.
- Strong ability to influence. Resilient and able to cope with ambiguity.
- High levels of assertiveness and ability to make decisions/provide clear advice and knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
