Head of Operations – Creative Technology, Sydney or Melbourne

Creative Technology (CT), part of the NEP Group, is a global leader in production and technology solutions for the live event industry, including concert touring, festival, sports, broadcast, studio and corporate sectors. We are seeking a full-time Head of Operations for Australia & New Zealand with expert operational and technical knowledge of AV systems and a passion for delivering exceptional live event experiences. Based at either our Botany (Syd) or Scoresby (Melb) warehouse, you will play a key role in our overall operations – from pre-production, resourcing through to on-site delivery and pack-down.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Overseeing all operational activities across the organisation.
  • Lead a high-performing operations team across multiple locations, fostering a unified collaborative culture.
  • Collaborating with account and project managers, technical, warehouse, and crewing teams to ensure smooth project delivery on a range of technical equipment requirements
  • Work with Senior Leadership to align operational processes with company goals.
  • Support the development, implementation, and communication of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of inventory and maintenance schedules.
What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

· Proven experience in live events or broadcast environments

· Strong technical understanding of production systems

  • Strong working knowledge of logistics for shipping equipment by road and sea, domestic and international.
  • Experience leading and managing teams of people in both administrative and technical roles
  • Ability to work well under pressure and communicate clearly

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience with ERP software (we use EasyJob)
  • Prior experience or a strong understanding of the touring, corporate AV, studio or large-scale event environments
