The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Head of Marketing ANZ for our Melbourne office reporting to the Regional Marketing Director APAC:

Gentrack is a global leader in providing essential software solutions to utilities with the goal of bringing utilities into a sustainable era. In Asia, we're growing rapidly and are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing ANZ to join our team.


This is a regional role supporting ANZ, perfect for a results-oriented individuals with a passion for B2B marketing in the software industry, ready to make a significant impact across the region.


The Specifics 

 As our Head of Marketing ANZ, you'll be instrumental in supporting the go-to-market strategy to build lead generation, customer retention and build brand awareness in ANZ.

This is a senior role including strategy and execution: you will be part of the leadership team of the region but also responsible with the full hands-on execution.


Regional Marketing Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the ANZ & Pacific Islands regional marketing strategy aligned with Gentrack’s global goals and local sales objectives.
  • Act as the primary marketing partner for the ANZ regional leadership and sales teams.
  • Build brand visibility and credibility within the energy and water industries
  • Organise hospitality events to create strong relationships between Gentrack and existing customers or prospects
  • Support Gentrack’s investors events, media and communication needs
  • Ensure close alignment with sales, product, and global marketing teams to align strategies and ensure integrated campaign execution

Campaigns & Demand Generation:

  • Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across digital, social, trade shows, and traditional channels to build awareness and generate qualified leads
  • Deliver targeted account-based marketing (ABM) programs to support sales, pre-sales in converting strategic opportunities
  • Write press releases, LinkedIn posts, blog articles, and case studies relevant to the ANZ region
  • Develop and execute targeted account-based marketing (ABM) programs to support Sales and Pre-Sales teams in converting strategic opportunities
  • Leverage marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot) and CRM systems to manage lead nurturing and measure campaign performance and ROI

 

Market & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Monitor regulatory changes, industry developments, and competitor activities in energy and water markets
  • Translate insights into actionable marketing initiatives and thought-leadership content
  • Provide regular updates to global and regional teams on emerging trends and opportunities

Digital Marketing & Analytics:

  • Lead performance marketing initiatives to drive awareness and pipeline growth
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing to measure campaign effectiveness and continuously improve performance of regional campaigns

Events & Trade Shows:

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of regional trade shows, conferences, partner events and webinars
  • Manage agencies and vendor relationships, booth design, logistics, and post-event lead follow-up
  • Ensure Gentrack’s presence at events reflects brand excellence and thought leadership
  • Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities to enhance visibility and credibility

Additional Tasks:

  • This role entails both domestic and international travel
  • This role involves evening calls to accommodate Europe times (once to a few times a week)
  • In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your manager
  • Support occasional internal events and communications

What we are looking for:

  • 6-10+ years’ experience in a B2B marketing in a tech/software environment
  • Go-to-market planning capabilities including demand generation and experience in hands-on execution
  • Analytical and structured to analyse data to ensure that programs support business goals
  • Ability to execute quickly in an extremely fast paced, high growth environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence others without formal authority
  • Highly organised and detail oriented
  • Decision maker with strong planning and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Creative thinker who can see “the big picture” and unite new and exciting ideas with practical executions
  • Experience working in a start-up environment or smaller company with a big vision
  • Understanding of the utilities industry (energy/water)
  • Working in a scale-up and fast growth environment
  • Hubspot experience to run campaigns
  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva or basic video editing software is a plus
  • A positive, high-energy, and can-do attitude is essential, as you'll be managing diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (generally less than 10%) to support key events across the region
  • Willingness to take evening calls with necessary
