As Head of Design, you will lead product growth strategies, build an engaged cross-functional team, and transform user interactions into retention metrics.
            What is Blinq?
Blinq is building the fastest, most intuitive way to share who you are and remember who you meet. What started as the world’s #1 digital business card is now the starting point for over 50 million new relationships a year - and growing at unicorn pace.
Our vision is to build the world’s intelligence layer for professional relationships - one that remembers for you, prompts when it matters, and keeps you in play. If that’s the kind of scale and ambition you want to be part of, you’re in the right place.
Why You’ll Love It Here
• Rapid growth: Doubling ARR every few months, expanding our product surface, and rapidly building our team across Sydney, San Francisco, Melbourne, and New York.
• Well-resourced: $45m+ raised from the likes of Blackbird, Touring Capital, Hubspot Ventures, and Square Peg - we’re continuously investing in the people and tools that fuel our mission.
• A rare moment to join: We’re hitting an inflection point - big enough to have momentum, small enough for you to shape the journey.
• Customers love it: 140k+ reviews and a 4.9/5 rating on the App Store - people around the world rely on Blinq to make that first interaction count.
• We work in person, on purpose: We believe creativity and energy are better face-to-face - so we spend 3 days a week in the office and the rest where you work best.
Product at Blinq
Our Product team turns bold ideas into seamless experiences that people use in their most important moments - introducing themselves, making a first impression, staying top of mind. We obsess over the details that transform a quick “hello” into the start of a lasting relationship. If you love creating intuitive, high-impact products that redefine how people connect, let’s build it together.
Role & Impact
As Head of Design at Blinq, you’ll lead the charge on product-led growth across consumer, business, and platform. Now it’s about turning every new connection into a viral loop, every team rollout into a growth engine, every interaction into an insight. You’ll get to work shoulder to shoulder with product, engineering, and go-to-market to ship fast, learn faster, and turn product into our biggest acquisition and retention lever.
What You'll Do
- Drive the product design strategy end to end - from first impression to forever user
- Lead a cross-functional product team that’s obsessed with activation, conversion, and retention
- Build a tight feedback loop with data, design, and GTM to ship, test, learn, repeat
- Own our self-serve engine and embed viral mechanics into every layer of the product
- Turn Blinq into a daily habit for individuals and a no-brainer rollout for global teams
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of product design leadership with a strong track record in growth-stage B2B2C
- Proven ability to drive metrics that matter - activation, retention, monetization - not just ship features
- Systems thinker with a bias for velocity, clarity, and decision-making under pressure
- Cross-functional leader who can align design, eng, and GTM around bold bets and fast learnings
- Bonus: experience scaling PLG loops, referral mechanics, or self-serve B2B motions
What You Get
We hold a high bar and move with intent. You’ll get the clarity, trust, and ownership to meet it - and a team that pushes to do the best work of our lives. We back that with:
• Equity & ownership: We’re building something massive, and we want you to share in the upside. Genuinely.
• Competitive salary & growth path: As Blinq grows, your role and compensation grow with it - no glass ceilings here.
• Generous paid time off: At least 20 days fully disconnect each year, with a flexible policy beyond that.
• Parental leave that grows with you: 12 to 26 weeks full pay, based on tenure.
• Free food: Enjoy daily breakfast and lunch at some of our offices, plus an always-stocked snack bar.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene
Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
