We are constantly changing and innovating, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Category Development Manager to join our Team, as Head of Category and Channel Strategy. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager - Category Development, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a long-term collaborative platform around where and how to grow key categories across different customers/channels - therein defining and aligning organizational role and priorities with strategic customers.
Additionally, you will act as the sales lead in internal Category Strategy development to ensure strong customer representation and be responsible to the development of 'How to Win' customer/channel strategies that support account teams and customers in delivering long term growth.
Some Key Accountabilities of this role will include:
You will:

  • Create and maintain a continuous review of the longer term (3-5yrs) strategic agenda for customer categories (Confectionery, Biscuits, Seasonal, Soft White, Baking)
  • Development of strong working relationships & category captaincy in insights with multiple customer groups
  • Acting as key lead and driver of the Customer JBP and plan on a page development, projects, timelines and initiatives
  • Be the business lead in internal category strategy development to ensure strong customer representation
  • Facilitate and coordinate projects, providing support to project team leads from across the business
  • Leveraging global and local insight / learnings and best practice in shopper missions, occasion based marketing and merchandising.


What you will bring:
Most important in this role is your cross functional experience and expertise, ideally with solid experience working across category development, marketing and customer account management.
A proficiency in data analytics and consumer and shopper insights, balanced with strong leadership and the ability to build trust and robust working relationships will see you succeed.
