Now, about this opportunity…

Reporting to the Treasurer, the Head of Capital & Liquidity is responsible for Judo’s capital management and liquidity management frameworks, ensuring strong balance sheet resilience, regulatory compliance and forecasting capability.

This is a critical leadership role within Treasury with responsibility for capital planning, ICAAP coordination, liquidity risk management and balance sheet optimisation activities. You will work closely with Treasury, Finance and Risk leaders, providing analysis and recommendations to ALCO, Executive stakeholders, the Board and APRA.

If that excites you, this just might be your dream job:

  • Identify and evaluate capital optimisation initiatives, including securitisation-related capital benefits and other regulatory capital efficiency opportunities
  • Lead the Bank’s liquidity risk management framework, including MLH management, liquidity forecasting, Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment and key risk indicator design

  • Oversee capital and liquidity regulatory reporting, ensuring strong governance, controls and audit readiness
  • Prepare and present recommendations and insights for ALCO, Executive, Board and APRA audiences
  • Partner closely with Treasury, Finance and Risk stakeholders to support effective balance sheet management and strategic decision-making

Qualifications

You’ll likely bring:

  • Significant experience within an ADI Treasury, Capital Management, Liquidity Risk or Balance Sheet Management function. Direct banking experience is essential, with hands-on experience across bank capital frameworks, ICAAP and prudential requirements.
  • Experience identifying and assessing capital optimisation initiatives
  • Strong liquidity management experience, including forecasting, stress testing and contingency planning
  • Experience identifying and assessing capital optimisation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of regulatory capital and liquidity requirements within an Australian banking environment
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts clearly to Executive, Board and regulatory audiences
  • Confidence making decisions and owning outcomes
  • A collaborative, relationship-led approach to your work
  • Curiosity, adaptability and a desire to keep learning
  • A passion for supporting SME Business customers

If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply – your experience, mindset and potential matter to us.

Applications close at EOD on Friday, 13 November.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
