TEAM

The mission of the Enterprise Technology Engineering team is to increase productivity and accelerate delivery of software and services for both Woven by Toyota and the larger Toyota Group. We do this by building and integrating best of breed cutting-edge technologies to help engineering teams deliver safe, secure software faster. By providing modern, agile and transparent services to our customers, we aim to realize our Woven by Toyota’s vision: ”Mobility to Love, Safety to Live”. This role heads up the product management team for the Enterprise Technology business and will report to the Head of Enterprise Technology Japan. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of Woven by Toyota products enabling the future of Toyota.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a seasoned product management leader who has experience building high performing product management teams that manage feature rich products. You are detail-oriented whilst not losing sight of the larger imperatives. You work to ensure that tactical product needs always align with strategic direction. You are able to get the best ideas out of stakeholders and communicate a clear vision for the product that everyone can understand and align on. You obsess about the users of your product and place them at the center of everything you do.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor and retain a team of high performance product managers.
  • Build a world-class platform for delivery of software that drives safe, secure collaboration on mobility solutions across the Toyota Group.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders inside and outside Woven by Toyota to turn a high level vision into realistic roadmaps and concrete product feature requirements.
  • Interface with business stakeholders to incorporate business requirements and prioritization.
  • Represent the voice of the customer to the engineering team helping them better understand the use cases, personas, challenges and opportunities.
  • Maximize the business value of your product by regularly inspecting it and collecting regular feedback from end users.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years experience managing complex product portfolios with many types of users and competing priorities.
  • Experience with modern agile software engineering practices. 
  • Experience managing product managers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Business level written and spoken English and Japanese language proficiency.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Strong communication, influencing, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience working on internal Business to Employee type product.
  • Experience building a platform.
