The Chrysos commitment and mission:

Here at Chrysos we combine science and software to create technology solutions that are changing the global mining industry; both from a productivity and environmental impact perspective.

Just like atoms and machines, we believe that everyone is different and how individuals come together is what makes us successful. Headquartered in Adelaide and with team members based in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, Canada, Chile and North America, Chrysos Corporation’s diverse team of scientists, engineers and industry specialists are coming together to build technologies to provide rapid, accurate and safe ore analysis for the global mining industry.

The company’s flagship technology, PhotonAssay™, steps around centuries-old chemistry-based assay methods to deliver true ‘atom-counting’ analysis for the measurement of gold and other high-value metals. With successful global installations, Chrysos is taking PhotonAssay™ to customers around the world – Chrysos could take you to places that you might not have even imagined yet. There’s opportunity around every corner and the support to help you achieve your goals.

About the role:

Chrysos Corporation is an ASX-listed technology company operating across 12 countries and growing rapidly, delivering innovative PhotonAssay™ technology to the global mining industry that is transforming how ore is analysed — faster, safer, and with a significantly reduced environmental footprint compared to traditional methods.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing Finance team at a pivotal point in the Company’s growth. Working closely with the Group Reporting Manager, a talented Finance team, and with visibility to the Executive team, the Group Intercompany Accountant will play a central role in building the financial infrastructure that supports Chrysos’s continued global expansion.

The role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting of all intercompany transactions across the Group’s global entity structure. With Chrysos operating across 12 countries and continuing to expand into new markets, this is a genuinely dynamic environment spanning multiple currencies and a diverse range of statutory and regulatory jurisdictions. Sitting within Group Reporting, the role provides a centralised point of ownership for intercompany activity — ensuring all flows align with the correct legal and entity structure, that eliminations are complete and accurate at consolidation, and that intercompany balances are reconciled and resolved on a timely basis. The role requires a working awareness of local statutory audit requirements across jurisdictions and the ability to manage the implications of multi-currency transactions, including foreign exchange translation, on intercompany balances and eliminations.

For the right person, this role offers real scope to learn, grow, and leave a mark — contributing to the development of intercompany policies and processes at the group level, and growing alongside a company whose technology is making a genuine difference to people and the planet.

What you will do:

  • Process and maintain all intercompany charges, cost allocations, and revenue allocations across the Group’s entity structure.
  • Prepare and post intercompany elimination journals at month-end, ensuring completeness and accuracy in the consolidated accounts.
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions are structured and processed in accordance with the correct legal entity flows and applicable intercompany agreements.
  • Manage intercompany loan balances, including the calculation, posting, and reconciliation of intercompany interest charges.
  • Maintain the intercompany accounts receivable and payable ageing schedules; identify, investigate, and resolve mismatches and unresolved items on a timely basis.
  • Process asset transfer transactions aligned to the entity structure and in accordance with transfer pricing guidance from the International Tax Manager.
  • Maintain and update intercompany agreements and contracts, ensuring that actual transaction flows align with documented terms.
  • Perform month-end intercompany reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances in coordination with regional Finance teams.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation to support all intercompany positions and journal entries.
  • Support the monthly, half-year, and year-end group consolidation process by ensuring intercompany eliminations are complete and any outstanding items are resolved prior to close.
  • Prepare intercompany reporting packs and ageing summaries for review by Group Reporting management and, where required, the external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of accounting position papers and technical memos for complex or non-routine intercompany transactions.
  • Support the annual and half-year audit process by providing documentation and responding to auditor queries related to intercompany balances and transactions.
  • Manage the intercompany implications of multi-currency transactions across Chrysos’s 12-country footprint, including foreign exchange translation of intercompany balances, revaluation adjustments, and the correct treatment of unrealised FX differences at elimination.
  • Maintain an awareness of statutory reporting and local audit requirements across jurisdictions in which Chrysos operates, ensuring that intercompany transactions are structured and documented in a manner that supports entity-level compliance; liaise with regional Finance Controllers and external advisers as needed to address jurisdiction-specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in intercompany processes, controls, and systems — including ERP enhancements in NetSuite — with the support of a team that embraces new ideas and backs people who want to make things better.
  • Support the Finance Controllers across APAC, EMEA and Americas in reducing intercompany-related workload, particularly as multi-book accounting is implemented.
  • Play an active and influential role in shaping the Group’s intercompany framework — developing and refining accounting policies, process documentation, and control standards that will underpin how Chrysos manages intercompany as it scales. With the Company growing rapidly across new markets, this is a genuine opportunity to build best-practice foundations from the ground up and influence the way things are done at a group level.
  • Any other duties as reasonably agreed.

Who you are:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification (or working towards completion).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, with demonstrated exposure to intercompany accounting in a multi-entity or multinational environment.
  • Sound understanding of intercompany elimination principles and group consolidation processes.
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards relevant to intercompany transactions (IFRS, AASB).
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts and intercompany agreement structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with regional finance teams across different time zones.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-currency intercompany environments, including foreign exchange translation, revaluation, and the treatment of FX differences under IFRS (IAS 21).
  • Working awareness of statutory audit and financial reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions; ability to understand how local compliance obligations interact with group-level intercompany accounting.
  • A growth mindset — curious, eager to learn, and motivated by the opportunity to develop professionally within a fast-growing, purpose-driven company.

Desirable

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar multi-entity ERP platform.
  • Experience within an ASX-listed company or publicly listed multinational.
  • Experience supporting external auditors on intercompany and consolidation matters.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
