What you’ll do

We are looking for a highly driven, self-motivated individual with exceptional sales acumen and interpersonal skills that is success oriented and passionate about the programmatic and digital industry. As a Group Account Director, your main responsibilities will be:

Delivering Numbers

  • Leverage experience, relationships, and client knowledge to craft unique MiQ story and tailor client conversations, leading to buy in
  • Identify and build relationships with decision makers within a range of media agencies
  • Accurately forecasts quarterly performance levels, paces to forecasted revenue and can provide weekly forecasts highlighting key opportunities
  • Responsible for delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets commensurate with sustainable growth strategy
  • Utilise an entertainment budget to engage with your client portfolio regularly
  • Plans for team output and delivers to goals with consideration of annual and quarterly growth objectives

Planning & Organising

  • Actively scan the horizon and identify opportunities, key accounts, and gaps in the market
  • Balance between short- and long-term wins to maintain an even pace/growth
  • Easily distinguish between the least and most promising leads and focus efforts accordingly Communication
  • Manage upwards, keep senior stakeholders up-to-date, and keep all parties in the know
  • Holds pod/team accountable to high performance using forecast
  • Adapt communication style to lead pitch differently based on who’s in the room

Persuading & Influencing

  • Act as a “trusted advisor” to clients; clients reach out to you as a sounding board
  • Models how to lead major client meetings and drive engagement
  • Understand and leverage what drives clients, to deepen the relationship
  • Build credibility by educating clients on new things, broadening their perspective
  • Act as an industry evangelist for automated, data-driven audience acquisition

Product Knowledge

  • Utilize industry and competitor knowledge to position MiQ and successfully challenge competitor offers
  • Able to propose creative solutions for clients on the fly
  • Consistently articulate product position strategies and key selling messages

Coaching & developing team

  • Manage a group of direct reports, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and have clear objectives/development paths
  • Manage workload across the team via considered distribution of accounts
  • Represent and advocate for reports within Senior discussions/ meetings
  • Assume responsibility for quality of service and act as an escalation point for team
  • Identify and execute ongoing training plan for team members

  • Track record of success in the Melbourne digital ad sales market
  • Ability to inspire and guide a team towards a shared goal
  • You have a range of existing agency relationships
  • Knowledge of programmatic and programmatic technology
  • High degree of self-motivation and drive to succeed as part of a team
  • Eagerness to work in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Direct agency experience, either as customer, partner or employee
  • Alignment with MiQ's core values/culture
