Role Overview
We’re looking for a German Markets Specialist (Contract) to support QuillBot’s growth in German-speaking markets, contributing to localization, SEO, performance marketing, and go-to-market initiatives in close collaboration with our core marketing team. This is a short-term, fixed-duration contract for 90 days, with potential for extension based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for QuillBot’s marketing activities in the German Speaking Markets, assisting with user acquisition and brand awareness initiatives as directed by the core marketing team.
- Assist in the localization of product features, messaging, and GTM, based on established guidelines and project briefs.
- Conduct SEO research and provide recommendations to improve search performance, supporting both on-page and off-page optimization under the supervision of SEO specialists.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance marketing activities, reporting on key metrics such as Lifetime Value (LTV) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) as requested.
- Support the roll-out of go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, ensuring campaign activities are executed according to plan and within provided frameworks.
- Provide analysis and feedback on campaign performance to help identify opportunities for optimization, in alignment with the marketing team’s direction.
- Assist in building QuillBot’s local presence through targeted campaigns, community engagement, and support for approved partnerships with vendors, influencers, and organizations.
- Perform market research and share findings on trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform the team’s ongoing decisions.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in German, with strong written communication skills; professional working proficiency in English.
- Experience (academic, internship, or professional) supporting marketing initiatives, ideally in digital or growth marketing environments.
- Familiarity with localization workflows, including adapting messaging, product features, or campaigns for specific regional markets.
- Advanced understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, on-page optimization, backlink concepts and SEO tools
- Ability to work with performance marketing metrics, such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), conversion rates, and campaign KPIs.
- Experience conducting market and competitor research, synthesizing insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and identify optimization opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under clear guidance and established frameworks.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.
This is a fully remote, fixed-term contract role for 90 days, with an expected workload of 30 hours per week. Compensation is €30-€35 per hour, and candidates must be based in Germany or the Netherlands.
