A bit about your role

As the General Manager, Procurement Operations and Assurance, you will lead a diverse and high-impact portfolio across Procurement Operations, Commercial Assurance, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense Management, and Extended Worker Time & Materials Lifecycle Management. Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Procurement, Property & Supply, you will be a key member of the PP&S leadership team, shaping operational strategy and driving service excellence across end-to-end value streams and adjacent functions. Your work will directly influence outcomes that matter to nbn and earn the trust of our customers.

You will foster a culture of inclusive leadership, personal growth and continuous improvement, coaching your team and stakeholders to think boldly and act with integrity. You will define service standards and KPIs aligned to strategic goals, consistently delivering results that exceed expectations. With a challenger mindset, you will take a holistic view of processes and impacts, identifying opportunities for innovation and leading change with confidence. Your leadership will be grounded in self-awareness, adaptability and a commitment to growing others, setting the tone for excellence across the organisation.

A bit about you

You are a strategic and compassionate leader with deep expertise in procurement and commercial operations. With proven experience in business and financial operations, you bring a track record of delivering cultural change, process efficiency, automation and commercial transformation in complex, customer-centric environments. You understand the nuances of shared services and have led teams through operational delivery, governance, risk management and business continuity with clarity and purpose.

Your qualifications in Finance, Business or Risk Management complement your strong business acumen and ability to generate value through insight and performance. You are confident managing outsourced services and supplier relationships, and you bring exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills to every interaction. You plan with precision, lead with empathy and inspire those around you to grow, adapt and succeed. If you’re ready to shape the future of procurement operations at nbn, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
