Job DescriptionAs a Generative AI Engineer, you will work directly with NCS Australia's clients to solve their most complex challenges. Your primary focus will be the hands-on, end-to-end delivery of bespoke AI solutions. This involves designing and developing intelligent agents, implementing sophisticated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns with, and building the robust data pipelines and APIs needed to support these applications using services.
Beyond pure development, this role requires you to ensure the operational excellence and strategic success of your solutions. You will implement CI/CD workflows, monitor model performance, and act as a trusted technical advisor to our clients. A key part of your role will be presenting compelling Proof of Value demonstrations and clearly communicating the business impact of your technical work to a diverse range of client stakeholders
As a Generative AI Consultant, you will be at the very forefront of our clients transformation journey, working with cutting-edge technology to solve complex, real-world problems and delivering tangible impact for our clients.
Qualifications
- Azure AI & Frameworks: Solid, hands-on experience architecting and building advanced AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns. Expert at orchestrating complex agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI, while leveraging Azure AI Search for high-performance vector retrieval and indexing.
- Cloud-Native Application Development: A proven track record of deploying production-grade Python solutions on Microsoft Azure. Deeply familiar with building scalable backends using Azure Functions (Serverless), Azure Container Apps, and Azure API Management to ensure secure and robust application delivery.
- Azure MLOps & Automation: Experience implementing MLOps principles using Azure Machine Learning and Azure DevOps. Skilled in building automated CI/CD pipelines to deploy, monitor, and maintain the health of LLMs and ML models in production, ensuring governance and performance at scale.
- Client Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: An exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts—such as Tokenomics or Model Fine-tuning—clearly and effectively to everyone from engineering teams to C-suite stakeholders.
- Requirements Translation & Problem-Solving: A proven ability to dissect client business challenges and translate them into functional AI requirements, specifically focusing on how Azure’s Cognitive Services can drive measurable ROI and operational efficiency.
- Technical Presentations & PoV Demos: Confident in architecting and delivering compelling Proof of Value (PoV) demos within the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure AI Studio), showcasing solution impact and technical feasibility to win stakeholder buy-in.
- Collaboration & Professional Credentials: A collaborative team player with a focus on shared success. Highly regarded for holding professional Azure certifications, such as AZ-104 (Administrator), AZ-204 (Developer), or AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer Associate).
