Position Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing a team of accountants in managing and reconciling cash, securities, and other financial transactions. It is important to prioritize accurate and timely financial reporting for deliverables across a portfolio of clients, and to remain detail-oriented in all work. The role also includes reviewing partnership agreements for accounting implications, mentoring, and developing team members, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Additionally, the role supports business development efforts and contributes to maintaining a collaborative and high-performance culture aligned with the firm’s values. Work is conducted in a highly structured team and control environment. Assignments can fall into the quarterly reporting cycle or high paced ad hoc client or investor requests.
Responsibilities:

- Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting deliverables across multiple clients.
- Reviewing client financial statements, partner capital statements and other required financial reporting.
- Providing technical accounting/industry knowledge to our clients.
- Coordinating, managing and monitoring the external audit process and year tax reporting process with 3rd party accounting firm.
- Create and review partner capital calls.
- Calculate and review waterfall models, distribution notices, and management fees.
- Onboarding new clients.
- Participate & lead client planning meetings.
- Provide training and mentor team members by setting objectives and providing performance feedback.
- Manage team's adherence to internal control policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with one or more clients, managing client expectations, and meeting all client deliverables.
- Assist in business development, participate in meetings with potential clients.
- Review partnership agreements in order to determine impact on financial reporting and partner capital accounting requirements.
- Foster and protect the GPFS culture.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- 3+ years of private equity experience.
- Experience managing others.
- Strong knowledge of industry and accounting principles, US GAAP Expertise.
- Proficiency with software related products such as Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and OneNote).
