Job Description:

A vacancy for a FTI System Engineer & Operations has been created within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .

The successful applicant will join Engineering Department .

The jobholder will become part of a team located in Getafe and Seville belonging to Test Frameworks and Instrumetation domain under Flight and Integration Test Centre

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • The jobholder will act as a Flight Test Instrumentation System Engineer in Getafe.
  • Shall collect the flight test means requirements: capturing, challenging and tailoring a solution in close contact with the stakeholders and settle/agree a flight test means verification and validation strategy.
  • Shall give support to the design and production areas during the process of the flight test means integration in A/C
  • Shall coordinate with the customer, airworthiness and other external stakeholders in order to ensure that the right system is built, and collect the necessary evidence to prove that the system onboard is fit for purpose and safe through a validation statement.
  • Shall coordintate a team that operates the flight test means (airborne and ground) keeping to the safety standards. Preparing the FTM for flight performing the necessary functional checks and supporting the flight test campaigns.
  • Shall coordinate a team that process the data collected during the flight testing activities and provide to the customer with the necessary data and also stores this data according to the required security level
  • Shall keep the FTM configuration under control and in an airworthy condition performing the necessary maintenance and first level troubleshooting when necessary.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering
  • Experience in Engineering, Flight Test Instrumentation 3-5 years.
  • Spanish mother tongue or equivalent.
  • English advanced
  • French and/or German will be valuable
