We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Food Safety Quality Assistant to join our Quality team at our Wagga Wagga site.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Verify paperwork and records, manage taste panels, and test finished products to ensure safety and quality.
- Assist the production team with quality-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and help with root cause analysis.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding non-conforming goods and manage the supplier complaint process.
- Drive the site's non-conforming goods and rework processes and monitor adherence to internal and external requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Kraft Heinz and external third-party requirements and escalate any issues or non-compliance.
- Assist with third-party audits, internal governance programs, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with the broader team across Australia, New Zealand, and the global FSQ community to support FSQ systems improvements and projects.
About you:
- Experience in managing quality and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred)
- A tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, or Technology
- Experience working in the FMCG industry (preferred)
- A combination of technical expertise in thermal processing (including retorting, pasteurisation, freezing, chilling, cannery, and flexible packaging) and strong analytical, interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills (preferred)
- Eligibility to work in Australia - with full working rights.
