About the Career Comeback Program
Our 12-week Career Comeback Program is designed to support talented professionals as they transition back into the workforce. You’ll join us in a permanent role within our Financial Crime Operations team, with specialised support including:

About the team
Our Financial Crime Operations (FCO) team is made up of 2,000 professionals working to protect our customers, employees and communities from money laundering, terrorism financing and sanctions-related risks. We’re a purpose-driven team with a critical mission, and we’re continuing to grow as we invest in our people and systems to support the Group’s strong anti-financial crime capabilities.
About the role
As a Financial Crime Quality & Performance Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in driving quality, performance and continuous improvement across Financial Crime Operations. You’ll provide subject matter expertise, support the uplift of operating procedures, deliver training, and perform quality reviews — all while contributing to strategic projects and helping to improve risk controls across the business.
Your day-to-day could include:
Operational Support
Building strong relationships with operations, Risk and Compliance teams to meet business and regulatory needs
Delivering targeted training materials and providing hands-on technical expertise to teams across Australia, New Zealand and India
Continuous Learning
Supporting updates to Standard Operating Procedures and providing coaching based on quality findings
Using root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities and partnering with capability teams to implement change
Quality Control
Conducting quality reviews aligned to the Quality Control Framework
Supporting control testing and identifying document control risks
Developing and presenting monthly insights and performance reports to senior leaders
Projects
Investigating and addressing issues or incidents in the risk system
Contributing to change initiatives with subject matter expertise
Owning and evolving your personal development plan
We’re looking for people who:
Have been on a career break for two years or more (essential)
Hold permanent Australian working rights
Bring experience in AML/CTF, Sanctions, or broader compliance
Have a background in quality control or coaching/training within operational teams
Are confident working with a variety of stakeholders and building trusted relationships
Are strategic thinkers with adaptable coaching styles and a continuous improvement mindset
