About the team
Our Financial Crime Operations (FCO) team is made up of 2,000 professionals working to protect our customers, employees and communities from money laundering, terrorism financing and sanctions-related risks. We’re a purpose-driven team with a critical mission, and we’re continuing to grow as we invest in our people and systems to support the Group’s strong anti-financial crime capabilities.
As a Quality Assurance Senior Analyst, you will sit within our Quality Assurance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial crime cases and acting as a trusted subject matter expert in your space. You’ll be the voice of quality, analysing trends, surfacing risks and influencing the way we work to improve outcomes and strengthen our controls.
With a strong presence across Australia and India, the QA team works at the intersection of compliance, risk and operational excellence.
About the role
In this position, you’ll assess the effectiveness and accuracy of our Financial Crime processes, identify emerging risks and conduct in-depth thematic reviews to provide critical insights. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to build a culture of compliance, support audit and regulatory activities, and enhance QA systems and processes. Your voice will be valued, and your insights will help shape how we manage Financial Crime risks across the Group.
We are currently hiring for multiple roles across both our Transaction Monitoring and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) teams.
On any given day, you will
Review Financial Crime cases to assess quality, accuracy and completeness in line with regulatory standards
Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice on complex cases, process challenges and emerging risks
Identify themes, customer pain points and process gaps through QA reviews and deep-dive assessments
Document findings clearly and thoroughly within our alert and case management systems
Share insights and feedback with key stakeholders to support continuous improvement
Contribute to process uplift initiatives and improvements to QA tools and frameworks
Support audit and regulatory engagements with high-quality reporting and evidence
Mentor peers and help build financial crime capability across the team
We are looking for people who
Have at least 3 years of experience in Financial Crime, Risk or Compliance
Have strong working knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and AUSTRAC regulatory obligations
Are analytical thinkers with the ability to assess complex information and identify suspicious activity
Can translate findings into high-quality written reports and investigation summaries
Are confident communicators who engage effectively with both business and compliance teams
