The Financial Analyst will streamline finance operations and systems, improve data accuracy, automate processes, and ensure effective cross-functional collaboration to support growth.
The Role
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to help bring rigour, scalability, and insight to Lyrebird’s finance operations and systems as we grow. This role sits at the intersection of finance, systems, and data. You’ll work hands-on with our core finance stack including ERP, billing, payroll, and reporting tools, ensuring data flows cleanly from source systems through to the general ledger and leadership reporting.
Along the way, you’ll reduce manual effort, improve controls, and help build reliable foundations that allow the business to scale with confidence.
It’s a great role for someone who enjoys understanding how systems connect, digging into how numbers are generated, and improving the way finance operates in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
About Us
Lyrebird Health builds AI-powered tools that reduce the administrative burden on clinicians and improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare.
Our platform is used by thousands of clinicians across multiple disciplines and continues to scale across markets. As we grow, we’re focused on building strong foundations — including reliable financial systems and processes — that support long-term, sustainable growth.
At Lyrebird, we value clear thinking, ownership, and building things properly. You’ll join a team that cares deeply about impact, quality, and doing meaningful work in complex environments.
What you’ll do
- Support and maintain Lyrebird’s finance systems and tooling, including ERP, billing, payroll, expenses, CRM integrations, and reporting layers
- Analyse and improve core finance processes across order-to-cash, revenue, payroll, AP, expenses, end-of-month (EOM) close, and reporting
- Support and continuously improve end-of-month (EOM) close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across entities
- Help replace manual processes, spreadsheets, and ad-hoc workflows with more automated, repeatable, and well-controlled approaches
- Ensure finance data flows accurately from operational systems into the general ledger and downstream reporting
- Partner with Finance, Data, RevOps, People, and Engineering teams to support system improvements and cross-functional initiatives
- Identify risks, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies in data and processes, and help resolve them before they scale
- Assist with reporting, analysis, and insight for leadership, audits, and decision-making as needed
What we’re looking for
- Experience in financial analysis, finance operations, or systems-focused finance roles within a tech, SaaS, or complex business
- Strong understanding of how financial data moves end-to-end, from customer and employee activity through to the general ledger and reporting
- Exposure to ERP, billing, payroll, or finance platforms in multi-entity or scaling environments
- A mindset focused on process improvement, automation, and data quality
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building structure as the business evolves
At Lyrebird, we don’t just write code — you’ll help shape the future of the human experience.
If you want to pioneer, to create, and to see your work touch lives directly, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who’ll benefit from our work. We want Lyrebird to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. If you’re from an underrepresented background in tech, we especially encourage you to apply — even if you don’t meet every single requirement.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene
Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
