About the Role
The Financial Accountant role requires a strong foundation in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Prepare and review accruals, journal entries, and general ledger activity
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure accuracy across entities
- Maintain compliance with business licenses, registrations, and renewals
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and policy adherence
- Support month-end close and general accounting tasks
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Manage year‑end 1099 filing process, including:
- Ensuring verification of vendor W‑9 forms
- Reviewing vendor payments for 1099 eligibility
- Preparing 1099 reports and coordinating electronic filing
- Ensuring compliance with IRS deadlines and requirements
Experience and Qualifications
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably CPA environment
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights
- High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment
Please Note: This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Salary Band – Financial Accountant: $65,000 to $75,000 USD – Salary offered will be based on candidates experience level.
