Job Summary

Specific responsibilities include annual and multi-year budgeting, development of financial forecasts and planning scenarios, development and implementation of financial and operational metrics, dashboards, and capital expenditure planning. What You'll Be Doing
- Key financial business advisor to senior leadership and organization managers; significant contributor in the development of strategic plans and business-related processes and implementation of near-term and long-range strategies
- Develops financial forecasts and manages budgets of organization
- Provides key inputs into the corporate budgeting process and communicates budget decisions back to the organization
- Supports strategic projects at the group and corporate level
- Informs Group CFO and General Managers on financial trends and reporting unit performance; recommends corrective actions to achieve financial plans
- Identifies, defines, and deploys metrics for management to make informed business decisions and implement effective operational strategies
- Updates financial forecasts on a monthly basis and provides standardized reporting and analysis of budget variances and other key financial metrics to the corporate Finance Planning & Analysis team
- Utilize business intelligence tools to build localized financial analytics dashboards and provide leadership team with ad hoc analysis
- Educates divisional technical management on financial concepts, approaches and relationships, cost structures, and business models
- Generates and recommends value-informed purchasing and investing on behalf of the General Manager; assist leaders with business case preparation to ensure value-driven investment decisions
- Provides input in the development of financial and business policies and procedures
- Collaborates with Program Finance Managers, People Operations, and EIS to support a corporate workforce planning process
- Identifies opportunities for business transformation within the organization, including streamlining current processes to gain efficiencies
- Will manage direct reports
What You Need to be Successful - Finance Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Eight or more years of experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with data analytics such as Tableau, Fiori, S4Hana Tools
- Prior experience as a Financial Analyst or equivalent is desired
- Cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to make critical decisions and influence others
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changes as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong and trusted working relationships with stakeholders and with geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - can organize complex materials and concepts in a manner that is clear, persuasive, logical and builds a consensus
- Applies critical thinking to determine which ideas to pursue and implement
- Anticipates customer's future needs and effectively influences others to adjust and pursue different paths when warranted
- Demonstrated experience as a resourceful and creative solution finder who can develop options with a broad perspective on the potential impact to the corporation
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- MBA, CPA and/or advanced degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
- Prior experience as a Financial Manager, or equivalent is desired
- Prior experience within a research or FFRDC environment, is desirable
- Two or more years of experience in a US government (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) contracting environment
- Knowledge of governmental and government contractor budgeting systems and practices
- Knowledge of cost accounting standards (CAS)
