The opportunity
This role sits at the heart of QBE’s global finance operations supporting the Global Consolidation Solution (GCS), system used by every division worldwide to submit, validate and consolidate financial results for Group reporting. As a Finance Business Analyst, you’ll operate between the business and IT, ensuring financial data flows smoothly, issues are resolved quickly, and change is delivered effectively across QBE’s Hyperion landscape.

Your new role
Support the end‑to‑end operation of QBE’s Global Consolidation Solution, used across all divisions to produce Group financial results.
Act as the bridge between Finance and IT understanding accounting terminology, interpreting user issues, and translating business needs into system changes.
Contribute to system enhancements, impact assessments, testing and release coordination to ensure changes are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Assist with user training, documentation, governance and ensuring proper controls and security are adhered to across the Hyperion environment.
Support the global finance community by ensuring numbers flow correctly through the system, escalating issues where needed.
About you
Background in Accounting and/or CA/CPA
Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence across Finance and IT
Advanced analytical thinking with a structured, logical approach to problem‑solving
High levels of organisation, adaptability and a collaborative team mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex information
Exposure to financial systems or Oracle Hyperion (advantageous but not essential)
