As we continue to grow, we’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team and support our day-to-day financial operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Ensure payments reflect modern Award requirements.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including tax details, deductions, and benefits.
- Develop quotes, service agreements and schedules of support
- Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other day-to-day financial administration
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payments.
- Ensure all processing is completed in line with compliance requirements and legislation.
- Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations related to payroll.
- Assist in the preparation of end-of-month financial reports and account reconciliations
- Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance-related tasks.
- Perform other finance-related administrative duties as required
What you’ll bring:
- A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
- Exposure to payroll is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
What we would like you to have:
- Authorised to work in Victoria.
- Finance qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in accounts in a similar role
- Working with Children Check
