As the Finance Business Analyst (Merchandise Reporting & Insights), you'll effectively partner with Commercial Heads of Brand (BWS and Dan Murphy’s) supporting Endeavour and Retail Brand strategies with revenue of +$10Bn. With a strong commercial growth and transformational mindset you, you will ensure constant alignment between multiple stakeholders, while proactively providing commercial support, guidance on key strategic initiatives & opportunities and actionable insights.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Performance Reporting, Interpretation & Planning

• Proactively deliver insightful analysis to support discussions on key business activities 
• Responsible for production and distribution of weekly and monthly performance reporting
• Play key role in the annual budget and forecast process
• Proactively implement new and optimise existing reporting tailored on current business strategic priorities 
• Ownership of monthly supplier funding process, working directly with category teams to ensure accurate tracking & reporting of this key income line 
• Maintain robust and reliable merchandise trading P&L for Endeavour Retail businesses
• Supporting business case development for merchandise initiatives as well as tracking spend & benefits against targets
• Clear and effective communication across multiple groups of stakeholders
• Ensure robust frameworks are in place for all Commercial reporting, ensuring messaging is actionable and insightful

Decision Support

• Partner with the Heads of Brand to operationalise revenue and earnings growth through commercial decision making
• Proactively challenge assumptions, and influence decision making which ultimately focus on holistic outcomes for Endeavour Retail
• Supporting business case development for merchandise initiatives as well as tracking spend & benefits against targets

Team and Culture

• Work closely with finance peers across all brands and the group finance teams to achieve best practice and ensure consistent reporting and processes
• Establishing and developing relations with senior management, external partners,  finance and commercial stakeholders

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience with CA/CPA Qualification preferred but not essential
• Strong presentation and storyboarding skills with ability  to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience
• Advanced time management skills
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills 
• Ability to prioritise workload to support business requirements
• Ability to navigate through a complex organisational structure and work effectively cross functionally
• Desire for ongoing continuous improvement and process efficiency 
• Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• SQL experience would be advantageous
• Retail or FMCG experience desirable
