Job Description

As part of the Group Financial Planning & Analysis team the Finance Analyst - FP&A will be tasked with supporting the consolidation and reporting of the Jetstar Group financial results. The role will also support budgeting and forecast activities with the corporate & support functions.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

  • Working closely with Qantas and Jetstar stakeholders to understand key business drivers, providing variance analysis for the group results for month-end close process.
  • Supporting the mid-year and end of year investor relations process and audit requirements.
  • Support budget and forecast activities in the Corporate & Support functions (People, Finance, BSA fee reporting). Support the bi-annual 5YP process.
  • Initiatives reporting and tracking, below the line reporting, project opex reporting & business case support.
  • Assist in preparation of scorecard reporting and metrics.
  • Support other adhoc activities carried out within the Group FP&A team.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA / CPA)
  • At least 3 years experience in the management accounting / business analyst arena or professional services
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and cause-and-effect skills
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • Preferable airline or high turnover/low margin large industry experience
  • Strong computer based skills (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • TM1 experience desirable
