Purpose of your role

This role is an integral part of the Group Finance team responsible for providing financial reporting and insights for the business. Focus areas of this role include partnering with members of our Group Executive team to prepare and provide financial results analysis and insights, enabling excellence in business performance of each respective function. You will also collaborate closely with our Group Financial Controllership team on month-end and year-end financial reporting and you will complete the budgeting and forecasting process for your key Group functions.

This role will suit a highly engaged and curious individual, capable of clear communication, with a high level of commercial acumen, attention to detail and the ability to critically assess information to provide valuable, actionable insights.

What you do

  • Prepare financial reporting and provide analytical insights to members of the Group Executive team
  • Partner with members of the Group Executive team to provide ongoing financial reporting and analytical support through delivery of regular functional performance reporting, key insights and ad hoc analysis
  • Complete the month end process for allocated functions including ensuring that financial results are accurate, and reports are released with detailed insights on performance against expectations
  • Own the forecasting and budgeting process for allocated functions, ensuring the accuracy and critical analysis of all inputs and outputs, including timely communication with all stakeholders throughout the process
  • Assist the wider business in understanding performance drivers, performance against expectations and developing insights to assist key stakeholders in making informed decisions
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements across finance processes including leveraging technology to enhance reporting capabilities, planning, and month end process
  • Support reporting to monitor productivity and efficiency across functions, regions and key processes

Qualifications

What you bring

  • An appropriate university degree from a recognised institution
  • Working to complete or available to commence post graduate accounting qualifications (eg. CAANZ / CPA)         
  • Demonstrated interest in career development within a Finance function, Commercial Finance, Decision Support or FP&A
  • Demonstrated capability in P&L management, critical thinking, problem solving, and financial modelling
  • Commercial acumen and ability to communicate complex financial information in concise and practical way
  • Proven ability to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to make a difference in past roles and ability to identify, model and be a champion for growth
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and within a cohesive team
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks
