The Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) supports the Field Marketing Manager (FMM) in building the local face of Red Bull in their state in line with the global and national strategies and priorities, they will support in executing the sports strategy, planning and delivery of world class events and initiatives. They establish local field networks, encompassing scene experts and opinion leaders across both online platforms and in person. With a core focus on the sports playgrounds within the state (core sports, motorsports, team sports & fitness) the FMS plays a crucial role in creating and implementing marketing initiatives that drive credibility and connection in these scenes.
While their expertise lies in sports, they also support the broader marketing & sales mix, working in a cross-functional team environment often. The role is dynamic and active, FMS is consistently engaged 'in the field' rather than confined to an office environment & encouraged to use initiatives to find opportunities and solve business challenges.
Job Description
DEVELOP A SPORTS STRATEGY FOR THE STATE
- Support the FMM to implement the field strategy and develop initiatives aimed at enhancing brand health and improving product understanding and trust within sporting fields most relevant to VIC TAS region.
- Develop and lead high-impact marketing programs tailored to state needs, ensuring alignment with national brand strategies while maintaining a focus on measurable results.
- Serve as a senior cross-functional collaborator, effectively aligning internal and external stakeholders with organisational objectives and field priorities.
- Analyse market trends and consumer behaviours to proactively adjust strategies ensuring relevance across key consumption occasions and moments of need.
- Demonstrate strong commercial insight to ensure marketing initiatives contribute to increased can sales.
EXECUTE WITH EXCELLENCE
- Identify the right focus playgrounds which includes key third-party events, scenes, and marketing opportunities in line with Red Bull brand values.
- Support in developing strong Sports & Fitness Occasion plans within the state, working closely with national campaigns where relevant.
- Identify and manage key creators, athletes, teams, opinion leaders & influencers within each playground, developing strong relationships to unlock mutual benefits.
- Lead the planning and execution of national and regional Red Bull-owned events, ensuring excellence in delivery and alignment with brand values.
- Work cross-functionally within project teams and sometimes lead projects which deliver results, show impact across our sales & marketing mix and engage our consumers with the brand and product.
MARKETING INNOVATION
- Spearhead the development and execution of groundbreaking local initiatives with sports & fitness that amplify global and national campaigns.
- Utilise expertise to harness local insights and digital trends, creating multi-channel marketing strategies that integrate social media, technology, and consumer behaviour insights.
- Lead and execute ideation workshops with the student marketing team & opinion leaders to generate field-oriented ideas and develop new concepts that fit our brand.
- Act as a thought leader within the marketing team, leveraging deep knowledge of the region’s consumer landscape to identify untapped opportunities.
MARKETING OPERATIONS
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to negotiate favourable terms and ensure agreements are executed with precision, safeguarding brand reputation and operational excellence.
- Optimise resource allocation to ensure maximum impact of field marketing initiatives.
- Lead by example with maintaining branded tools and their management, for achieving premium appearance and effective tool management.
- Collaborate with National team by activating our brand in the right way, complete necessary reporting on time and ensure sustainability sits at the heart of all we do.
- A university degree in Marketing, Business, Events, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
Mid-level marketing experience, and a network, within sport and active lifestyle in Victoria/Tasmania
Strong people, networking & collaboration skillset, along with a passion for local sport culture
Experience in planning, managing and executing events
