The Facilities Manager oversees daily operations, manages maintenance schedules, and collaborates with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to support our organization's strategic initiatives and ensure a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the office space in downtown Madrid.
- Inspire, guide, mentor, and support outsourced Facilities team members to deliver outstanding service while fostering high engagement.
- Collaborate with external service providers to ensure a clean, secure, and productive workplace.
- Monitor vendor performance to meet quality standards that align with Morningstar Facilities' expectations.
- Build and maintain relationships with property management, local leadership, and key stakeholders to drive improvements.
- Lead and support sustainability initiatives, including reporting on carbon footprint metrics for the Madrid office.
- Manage annual and periodic budgeting processes, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines for ongoing and one-time facility expenses.
- Play an active role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and testing the business continuity plan and business impact analysis for the Facilities function.
- Draft and contribute to communications regarding activities and changes that impact the office, ensuring clear and timely updates to employees.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management, with a focus on soft-services delivery and office operations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems and related technical tools.
- Competence in understanding budgets and analyzing financial data.
- Excellent skills in planning, organization, and time management.
- This is an on-site role and the Facilities Manager will be expected to work from the Madrid office 5 days per week.
