KBR is growing its national Maritime & Coastal team and we're seeking Expressions of Interest from talented professionals across four key disciplines:

  • Maritime Engineers

  • Senior Maritime Engineers

  • Coastal Engineers

  • Senior Coastal Engineers

With current and upcoming opportunities across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to some of Australia's most significant maritime, coastal, energy and defence infrastructure projects. Whether your expertise lies in maritime structures, coastal processes, numerical modelling, project delivery or technical leadership, we'd love to hear from you.

Be Involved in Projects That Matter

Our team partners with government and industry clients to deliver complex and nationally significant infrastructure across:

  • Defence infrastructure supporting Australia's strategic capability

  • Major ports, harbour and wharf developments

  • Clean energy infrastructure, including hydrogen and renewable energy export terminals

  • Coastal resilience, adaptation and remediation projects

  • Marine and waterfront infrastructure

  • Public asset upgrades and rehabilitation programs

We're interested in hearing from professionals with experience in:

  • Ports, harbours, wharves and jetties

  • Marine structures and waterfront infrastructure.

  • Coastal process investigations and engineering studies.

  • Asset remediation and lifecycle management

  • Maritime and coastal infrastructure planning, design and delivery

  • Structural analysis, numerical modelling and engineering design

  • Technical studies, engineering investigations and feasibility assessments.

  • Project delivery within multidisciplinary engineering teams

Maritime Engineers

  • Design, assessment and delivery of ports, harbours, wharves, jetties and marine infrastructure

  • Structural analysis and design of maritime and waterfront assets

  • Concrete, steel and piled marine structures

  • Asset remediation, rehabilitation and lifecycle management

  • Preparation of technical reports, specifications and design documentation

  • Maritime infrastructure planning and project delivery

  • Use of engineering software such as SPACE GASS, Strand7, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, OPTIMOOR.

  • Working collaboratively with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary project teams

Senior Maritime Engineers

  • Leading complex maritime infrastructure projects and design packages

  • Technical leadership, mentoring and multidisciplinary project delivery

  • Project and design management including delivery to scope, budget and schedule

  • Review and assurance of engineering designs, documentation and technical deliverables

  • Client engagement and stakeholder management

  • Proposal preparation, work winning and business development activities

  • Managing multidisciplinary teams across studies, design and project delivery phases

Coastal Engineers

  • Coastal process investigations and assessments

  • Wave, hydrodynamic and sediment transport modelling

  • Coastal protection design, including seawalls, revetments and groynes

  • Dredging, reclamation and sediment management projects and coastal resilience, adaptation and shoreline management studies

  • Numerical modelling using tools such as Delft3D, SWAN, SWASH, XBeach, MIKE or TUFLOW

  • Programming and scripting using Python, MATLAB or similar tools.

  • Preparation of technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation.

  • Working collaboratively with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary project teams

Senior Coastal Engineers

  • Leading complex coastal engineering projects and studies

  • Technical leadership, mentoring and multidisciplinary project delivery

  • Project and design management including delivery to scope, budget and schedule

  • Review and assurance of engineering designs, documentation and technical deliverables

  • Client engagement and stakeholder management

  • Proposal preparation, work winning and business development activities

  • Managing multidisciplinary teams across studies, design and project delivery phases
