Small Business Banking is a part of CBA Business Banking and provides in branch face-to-face and remote support to Small Businesses across Australia. In Small Business Banking, we cultivate strong connections with our communities and customers by building deep connections, having compelling proposition and exceptional execution.

Do work that matters:

The purpose of the Executive Manager is to lead the financial, customer and risk performance for their allocated Small Business Region. In addition to performance of the Region, the Executive Manager leads a team of Small Business Bankers and are accountable for developing team skills and knowledge across all business customer needs and solutions, including credit origination processes for up commercial transactions up to $1.25mill.   

As a senior leader within the Small Business extended leadership team, you will have a key role in contributing to the overall performance of Small Business.

More Specifically you will:

  • Be responsible for the successful execution of Business Banking strategic initiatives within your area.
  • Develop a high performing and customer centric culture that delivers great customer experience and strong relationships.
  • Ensure your business bankers are recruited, retained and set up for success and to ensure high engagement across those team members
  • Deliver customer advocacy, financial performance and risk outcomes/performance for your area.
  • Develop strong partnership with Customer Service Network (Branch) peers to develop and implement initiatives that support Small Business performance.
  • Proactively manage risk such as ensuring our data is high quality and we are meeting our compliance obligations such as AML/KYC   

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • You have Demonstrated leadership experience, and you are ready for the next step in your career
  • Commercial lending experience
  • Previous experience in a high-volume customer environment
  • Demonstrated performance in delivering strong financial and customer outcomes
  • Proven capability in developing a risk aware team culture and proactively managing financial & non-financial risk
  • Degree qualified in finance or business discipline strongly preferred
  • Experience exercising delegated credit approval authority and FRSA Tier 2 Accreditation

Location is flexible, applications from Regional VIC and Tasmania will also be considered.
