Who is Quantium?

Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.

We're looking for an experienced enterprise seller to help scale our Scam, Fraud and Identity business within the Quantium Telstra joint venture. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, you'll take a proven product to a broader set of banks and enterprises. Over the last three years we've built a real-time API that uses telco intelligence to help detect scams, prevent fraud and verify identity at the moments that matter. We've signed two major banks, proven the value of the product, and we're now moving from early market traction to broader commercial scale.

This is not a standard sales role. As an Executive Manager, Sales Specialist, you'll step into a live market where the customer need is real and the problem we're solving has genuine societal impact. It's for someone who is motivated by that purpose, but pragmatic enough to turn it into signed deals, trusted executive relationships and repeatable commercial momentum..

We operate with the pace and fluidity of a start-up, backed by the assets and credibility of Quantium and Telstra. There's a strong pipeline and meaningful customer demand, but you'll still need to create clarity, shape the market and keep moving without everything being neatly packaged. This is an opportunity to join the business at a pivotal time, with excellent growth prospects for the right person.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Own and execute business development plans across priority banking, financial services and enterprise opportunities, converting strong market interest into signed commercial outcomes
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline by identifying target accounts, qualifying opportunities, creating demand and closing deals through multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders across fraud, scams, financial crime, digital, risk, product and technology, translating complex problems into clear commercial propositions
  • Use market insight to shape the opportunity, staying close to scam and fraud trends, regulatory change, competitor activity and bank priorities
  • Work closely with product, marketing, pre-sales, customer success and account teams to refine propositions, sharpen collateral and feed customer feedback into the product as we scale
  • Bring operational discipline to the role, keeping pipeline records accurate, managing deal risks and supporting forecasting so the business can make good decisions
  • Represent the business credibly in industry forums and customer workshops, positioning us as a distinctive, high-impact capability rather than another generic fraud tool

The Superpowers You'll Bring To The Team

  • 7+ years' experience in enterprise B2B sales, business development or strategic partnerships, ideally with data, API, SaaS, fintech, regtech, identity, risk or financial crime solutions
  • A strong track record of creating demand, navigating complex buying groups and progressing deals through long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • An understanding of banking, financial services or regulated enterprise environments, with exposure to fraud, scams, AML, financial crime, digital identity or cyber risk highly valued
  • Commercial sharpness, with the ability to structure propositions, negotiate effectively, manage procurement and legal processes, and close deals without losing sight of long-term customer value
  • Executive-ready communication skills, simplifying complex technical and risk concepts for senior business, risk and technology stakeholders
  • Comfort with ambiguity, being entrepreneurial and self-directed, and willing to build the playbook while executing it, while knowing when to ask for input and how to bring others with you
  • Strong curiosity and learning agility, so you can quickly understand new use cases, customer problems and competitive dynamics as the category evolves

Remember – you might not tick all the boxes, but don't let that stop you applying. We're more interested in how you work, your ability to solve problems and think big.

What could your Quantium Experience look like?

Working at Quantium will allow you to challenge your imagination. You will get to solve complex problems using rigor, precision and by asking great questions – but it also means you can think big, outside the box and push your problem-solving skills to the max.

By joining the Quantium team, you'll get to:

  • Forge your path: So many of our team have moved around different teams or offices. You'll be in the driver's seat, and we empower you to make your career your own.
  • Find your kind: Embrace diversity and connect with your tribe (think foodies, dog lovers, readers, or runners).
  • Make an impact: Leave your mark. Your contributions resonate, regardless of your role or rank.

But wait, there's more!

We've got some pretty sweet perks:

  • Flexible work arrangements: Achieve work-life balance at your own pace with hybrid and flexible work arrangements. We work two days from home and three days in the office together.
  • Continuous learning: Our vision is empowering analytics talent to thrive. The Analytics Community fosters the development of individuals, thought leadership and technical excellence at Quantium through building strong connections, fostering collaboration, and co-creation of best practice.
  • Remote working: Embrace the opportunity to work outside of your assigned home location for up to 30 days every year.

Apply now and let's forge a better, more intelligent world together!

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
