We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for an Executive Manager IT BPO and Corporate, reporting to the General Manager Procurement. This role sits within the Procurement leadership team and is responsible for driving sustainable value through sourcing, supplier partnerships and commercial outcomes that support the long-term goals of nbn.
A bit about your role
As the Executive Manager, you will lead the strategic sourcing and procurement activity that supports nbn’s digital, IT and corporate functions. This includes overseeing a high-performing team of procurement professionals, guiding them through all stages of the sourcing lifecycle – from strategic planning and market engagement through to negotiation, contract implementation and supplier management. The scope of your team’s work includes IT procurement such as software, licences, hardware and outsourced labour, as well as corporate categories including security, legal, Human resources/Learning & Development and consulting.
This role will have the opportunity to engage closely with senior leaders (including C-Suite), contribute to shaping procurement strategy at an enterprise level, and provide key input to governance forums. A typical year may include around ten key tender processes, along with managing contract renewals, extensions and proactive program planning. You will also have a clear line of sight to governance, ensuring sourcing activities are aligned with policy, risk frameworks and commercial objectives.
A bit about you
You are an experienced procurement leader with a strong track record across IT and BPO categories, ideally in a large or complex organisation. You bring strong digital and IT acumen, and you understand how to support business outcomes through well-structured sourcing and renewal strategies. You are also comfortable working across corporate areas and navigating the nuances of legal, HR or business support partnerships. Your commercial mindset is matched by your ability to bring people together and deliver solutions that work in practice.
As a People leader, you are calm, inclusive and collaborative. You take pride in helping others grow and foster a team environment built on respect and shared purpose. You understand the importance of governance and attention to detail, but you also bring a pragmatic, forward-looking approach. You are skilled at storytelling – especially in how you communicate ideas through presentations.
