As an Events Manager, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our brand to life by creating and delivering high-quality event experiences across Australia and New Zealand. Our events are designed to inspire, educate, and deepen engagement with our products and purpose, ultimately helping our community stay connected to our evolving platform. Working with a customer-focused mindset, you'll ensure each event reflects our brand promise and contributes to key business goals. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful events that serve both our small business and accounting & bookkeeping partners.
How you'll make an impact
You'll be instrumental in planning and delivering a diverse range of events, from regional activations to strategic business events, all aligned with the ANZ operating plan. Your work will directly help drive measurable results for the business, including lead generation, customer retention, product adoption, and partner engagement. By creating memorable, world-class events, you'll help build the customer advocacy that Xero is known for.
What you'll do
• Support the end-to-end delivery of events, including audience targeting, communications, logistics, and on-site execution
• Manage event budgets, track costs, and ensure timely reconciliation for assigned projects
• Develop and deliver customer communications throughout the event lifecycle, from pre-event invitations to post-event follow-ups
• Collaborate with various internal teams and external agencies to ensure seamless execution and insightful events
• Contribute to process improvements by refining documentation and workflows to increase consistency and efficiency across event delivery
What you'll bring with you
• Strong project coordination skills with a keen eye for detail and quality execution across all event phases
• Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of small business and accounting audiences to shape relevant event experiences
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
• Experience in event delivery that has contributed to business and marketing goals
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and assist with post-event reporting
