Job Description:
In Airbus Defence and Space, we are looking for a System Engineer for the department TADMO3 in charge of Ground Support Systems and Electronic Warfare solutions.
Our product portfolio enables the whole Mission Management cycle from preparation/planning to debriefing/assessment phases. The successful applicant will join the team in charge of Software Loading definition and implementation in Eurodrone, as level 1 designer.
We define SW Data Loading concepts and architectures at aircraft level and ensure the correct implementation and integration at lower levels. We also support in the design and development of solutions to load software and data to the aircraft. Furthermore we evolve our systems and processes continuously in order to support the development and operation of the aircraft, from design phases to in service support.
Task and Responsibilities:- Identification of customer and operators needs
- Definition of Software Loading concept and processes
- Definition and management of system and software requirements
- Definition and generation of Software Lifecycle data (e.g., definition of software plans, requirements, generation of associated documentation) in line with DO178C, DO200B or similar standards.
- Design, implementation and integration of the complete solution (HW/SW).
- Support to Testing, Qualification and Certification processes
- Delivery on time, on quality and on cost of our systems.
- Interface with Chief Engineering, aircraft architects, Programme offices and support to transversal areas (Services, Production and Procurement).
Required Skills- Experience in a relevante position minimum 6 years
- Engineering degree, ideally in Telecommunication, Aeroespace or relevante
- Experience in Systems Engineering
- Experience in systems and software architecture definition
- Knowledge of civil (e.g., DO178C, DO200B) software related standards.
- Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment
- Good communication skills and pro-active nature.
- Open minded, agile and keen to new challenges
- Availability to travel
- Be in a position to obtain Security Personal Clearance up to NATO/OCCAR SECRET
Desired Skills- Experience in avionics would be a plus
- Knowledge of military standards (e.g., STANAGs, MIL-STD) including information exchange protocols (e.g., 1553, ARINC 615A).
- Knowledge of system, software and hardware configuration control
- Familiar with Ground Support Systems
- Experience in research & technology projects (R&T).
