The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join a successful global business in early stages of growth in Australia. As an Enterprise Solutions Account Manager, you will establish and grow our end-user focused Enterprise Solutions business within Australia, taking our proven UK model and adapting it to local market conditions.

You will join a small team within Australia, leveraging Techbuyer's existing refurbished customer base as your launchpad whilst building a new book of business focused on our complete portfolio of Vendors and the sale of complex technical solutions.

With the full backing of our UK headquarters, including vendor management, technical pre-sales, bid desk, and renewals support, you will have the resources to compete effectively from day one whilst building local capability as the business scales.

This role would suit an ambitious early to mid-career professional with the right blend of experience, commercial drive, and entrepreneurial courage to build something meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, negotiation, and close
  • Achieve revenue and gross profit targets for your assigned country or region
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
  • Identify and develop opportunities across Techbuyer's portfolio including new and refurbished hardware, software licensing and services

Marketing & Business Development

  • Help oversee local marketing initiatives to generate awareness and demand within your territory, supported by the HQ Marketing team
  • Develop relationships with IT decision-makers: IT Directors, Infrastructure Managers, Procurement Leaders, and C-suite executives
  • Represent Techbuyer at local industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities

Partner & Channel Development

  • Build relationships with local distribution partners, supported by the HQ Vendor Management team
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships where local access is available (HPE, Dell, VMware, Veeam and others)
  • Manage deal registration processes with support from the HQ Bid Desk team to protect margins and access vendor resources

Operations & Support

  • Coordinate deal qualification and complex bids
  • Manage licence and service contract renewals, working closely with the HQ Renewals team
  • Engage HQ technical pre-sales resources for solution design and customer presentations where needed
  • Localise Techbuyer's Enterprise Solutions portfolio

  • Technical foundation: Strong understanding of the enterprise IT market including servers, storage, virtualisation, and backup technologies
  • Collaborative nature: A team player who works effectively across functions and geographies, leveraging HQ resources appropriately
  • Leadership aspiration: Ambition to build and lead a team as the business grows
  • Resilience and adaptability: Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a start-up environment within an established organisation

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a technology reseller, VAR, or systems integrator environment
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales or business development role
  • Demonstrable understanding of hardware and software vendor partner programmes and local go-to-market dynamics
  • Proven experience in commercial negotiations and contract management

Desirable

  • Experience working in or with a start-up or scale-up business
  • Existing relationships with enterprise IT buyers in your local market

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel within your assigned geography as required

Flexibility to work hours that enable effective collaboration with the UK headquarters team
