Our Enterprise Architecture (EA) Centre of Excellence (CoE) focuses on architecture services, such as domain architecture blueprints and technology strategy, required to meet our business aspirations both today and for the future.

As an Enterprise Architect at Commonwealth Bank you will help define, agree and evangelise the group-wide future strategy of how we leverage cloud capabilities and technology to build world class experiences for our customers.
This role will play a critical role in helping our technology delivery teams understand how their program fits into our wider group view on how we should structure our technology solutions to stay future-fit, compliant, and best-in-market.
You will be working on reference architecture defining our technology estate and guiding the engineering teams to realise the vision, as well as being a trusted adviser driving cloud transformations. Key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to the following:
- Delivering Enterprise Architectures blueprints that guide strategic investments;
- Delivering Enterprise Architecture frameworks, policies, and standards;
- Making recommendations, gaining approval, and developing implementation strategies for new technologies;
- Keeping abreast of, recommending, and driving new technologies towards implementation and exploitation;
- Validating solution architectures against architecture blueprints / reference architectures;
- Working with talented, personable and enthusiastic teams in Agile fashion across various lines of business.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
- Solid experience producing reference architectures with a focus on designing for an enterprise-wide capability model.
- Solid experience in driving cloud transformations and platform engineering.
- Solid experience in working across various business units or Lines of Business (LOB) levels.
- Experience with building and managing relationships at a senior level.
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
- Experience across following technologies: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Systems Architecture, Application Modernisation, Platform Engineering, Cloud Security
- Technical/engineering background is a strong asset
- Experience working in a fast paced, complex, agile environment
